I have to agree Andy. Hated it at first but it's quite a tune indeed. What do you think of Bring Me the Head of Paul McCartney etc etc?  I think I'll let Anton off with that one, especially since it's a tune and a half. Don't be getting any ideas though. |

lets go fuckin mental is indeed the best song on the new one but its still a real dog shit sandwich of an album.
Gunna have to listen to mbu again. After reading some of the vitriol, i've started to doubt my own opinion (hate it when that happens), will report back later. x

The last two albums are definitely not good listens.
I don't even consider them BJM albums, I mean they really aren't anyway. It's just Anton on drugs in a studio in Iceland.
They're not a patch on anything previous and the sooner they return making tunes like the old stuff, the better.

I have to disagree. Not because it's you but because Anton surely used way, way, way more drugs when he made his old stuff. In fact, all he did back in those days was using drugs, as now he seems/claims to be quite sober (compared to how he was, not compared to the rest of the world  ) most of the time. It's just his new musical direction. Agree with you the old(er) tunes are better though, even though I like the new stuff as well |

Newest album was absolute garbage. My Bloody Underground had it's moments however doesn't come close to anything from the previous albums. From Spacegirl & Other Favs -all the way to - This Is Our Music = pure gold. Too bad Anton has lost it completely. Thing is he's gonna be in wheelchair before you know it...

His health isn't the best is the/a rumor. Having heart problems along with probably too many drugs. Fuck it though instead of being the 2nd coming of Brian Jones he might be the next Keith Richards on like living forever and doing every bad drug ever constantly without perishing. Remarkable...

It's all rumors speculation but heroin is the constant factor. Not surprised really. Although I am surprised he hasn't kicked the bucket. Still a legend though and deserves a lot of credit...

He lives in East Berlin, I see him every now and then (and know his flatmate a bit better) and I'd be very surprised if he was into heroin. He looks a bit washed up, I give you that much, but give him a break, he isn't 20 anymore. |
