Glad you're loving it Steve, but i don't think its anywhere near the quality of ROF atm. I think i'm one of the few who really enjoys FIOE, so i'd take that other this too.
For me, the albums have got less good as they've gone along. But even still, this is alreet. I can't see them ever releasing a bad record, though tbh i can't see them even existing after this, judging by that recent interview

On the Other Side owns anything on this new album, to be fair, but this isn't as bad as people think. It's a grower. When ROF came out I hailed it as my favorite album of all time  . Now it's not even on the top 50. |

It's a track or two too long but it is indeed brilliant.

I would definitely take out a couple of tracks (Ize of the World and Fear of Sleep), but the ones I'd leave are all class. I really, really like it. The more I listen to Angles the more I like it though; once you move past the obvious 80's references and sounds, it gets better. They're trying something here and although it might not be perfect, I think they'll get it right on the 5th album (if they decide to record one, that is). fake edit: actually I wouldn't take those two songs out, I just wish they were better produced...Although the whole thing works, in its on overblown way. It's their Be Here Now.  |

Had a couple of listens, it's alright. A few really embarrassing moments that have such a horrible dated sound but some good stuff on there too. I had zero expectations for it anyway so It's pretty much what I expected though had I been a major fanboi & waited five years to hear this I can't see how I could of been anything other than bitterly disappointed.
