BTW, some big opinions on page 23, enjoyed the read guys.
I do quite like the new strokes album but I'm not going to admit it because I have my little strokes feud with Ana and Barny.

Y'know what? I think it's great and I'm not Strokes fanboy. Had another listen through today, it's definitely a grower. I enjoy every single track tbh. Love the production.
It's a 7.3/10 right now but that might grow after a few more listens.

I have changed my mind from hating to death Pitchfork to actually get just what I need from it. I find a lot of interesting news there and enjoy reading the reviews of the records I dig (positive or not). Of course, I do it with a pinch of salt. Like Simone says, they're incredibly predictable, totally subjective and the most snobbish place on Earth. The most annoying thing to me is they tend to center the slagging reviews in non musical evidences (past facts, cliches, lack of originality in sound, lyrics, just cos they're Oasis or Eels), but they can praise highly some other acts (Best Coast comes to my mind) with similar features. All and all, I'm agreeing with them more and more lately, but it's as much due to me widening my tastes as to trying more Pitchfork recommended albums. So basically all of you are partly right except Chrissie, who I would like to kiss right now. praise from andrewbarryz AND barny, plus i angered rolli at the same time JOB DONE

My main problem with Angles right now is trying to accept the transition from Machu Pichu into Under Cover of Darkness. Dunno, I know it's only me but (being two of my favourite songs on it) I think thet don't fit together Silly silly thing, better got myself sorted before I start making my own tracklists and deleting forums...

Fuck it, I've decided this is their best album yet. Revolutionary shit, arsed if they are pissed they had trouble making it, it's ridiculous, like their 'Be Here Now'

Not exactly what you want and not quite as good as it could have been but with 4-5 big, big tunes.
