FFS, that's what I was on about... It sounds like they recorded it at the Scumm bar.

Ended up going to the MSG gig pretty much last second. Glad I did. They owned the building which I have to say I was surprised by as I was not impressed with most of the footage Ive seen recently. They definitely put a lot into the rehearsals and it showed although Julian sounded like complete crap on a few tunes and there were some definite misfirings here and there, but not much to complain about. First surprise of the night was in between Davendra Banhart (who opened) Elvis Costello came out and played a few tunes. He was awesome. He came out again later in the set and played with the band during Taken For A Fool. Very good show. I had only seen them once before (T in the Park). I think they were better then, but I think thats more of a case that I dont really care for the Angles material although it was better live. 6-8/10 - Its a ranged score, because when it was bad, it was annoying, but when it was good, it was great. Not a consistent performance.

last second and you were so close to them. 8/10 not the best seats, but still a great night. Elvis Costello, absolutely amazing.

last second and you were so close to them. One of my best friends is a publicist and gets this all the time. She's the same one who I got into Kanye at Bowery Ballroom with. Apparently, we got the slots on the list that belonged to "someone very important", so just lucked out in that respect. She only found out today. It was also cool when Julian came out into the crowd. Cool you're in NYC too though! I think thats 4 of us total in the area now. Heres the setlist: Is This It Reptilia Under Cover of Darkness Hard to Explain Last NIte Life Is Simple In The Moonlight Juicebox Someday You're So Right Under Control You Only Live Once New York City Cops Games Whatever Happened Taken For A Fool (w/ Elvis Costello) Ask Me Anything Modern Age Gratisfaction I Can't Win Take It or Leave It

oh dear is that really a song off the new record?! I'm all for moving forward and try different solutions etc, but that song is just err...hollow!! Sounds like a collection of snippets from songs off one of those cheap compilations you can buy at the Autogrill. And it doesn't seem they are taking it seriously either!
