They're contributing with a track (unreleased, cover??) for a great great compilation featuring the likes of Wilco, BRMC, Daniel Johnston, Ryan Adams and lots more. Oh, and this guy

It turns out that track is Mercy Mercy Me, a Marvin Gaye cover already released in 2006. And the bside for Taken For a Fool is the same song live with Elvis Costello. Laziest band ever. I wonder how many rarities and demos they have, as they have always changed the producer during the recording sessions of every album.

For all the beatings Liam's taken for his live vocals, Julian's vocals on almost any of the Angles tracks live have been atrocious. I can't believe they would release a recent live track as a b-side. Still the best band in the world though.

They made some kind of 30 sec improvisation. For a band as lazy and predictable as them, a little wink like this one suposes a breath of fresh air.
Saw them at Benicassim and it was madness, I loved it but the truth is you can really judge at all in the eye of the tornado. But the setlist was brilliant imo.

Really enjoyed them at T and I definitely appreciate them more now. I even liked the newer stuff, Machu Piccu is top!
They're a band that, apart from the debut, I've only liked a few tracks off each album. Though the setlist was excellent and was essentially a greatest hits if you like, was perfect for me.

It probably is, and I don't like it either. But I've found myself doing it more frequently than I would like to admit...

There are some decent ones along with some expected abortions, but I don't see the point in making someone cover The Strokes if he has never heard of them or can't be arsed.

Would prefer to listen to Ryan Adams alt.country take on it. I've been listening Is this it a lot today due to its anniversary, only to remind me what a great, great record it is.

The Real Estate cover is obviously a winner I personally think it's dreadful. Angel Deradoorian from the dirty projectors did a dub version of a trying your luck, it's a bliss.
