what a funny fucking album. I've gone from hating it, to liking it, and now I absolutely LOVE IT. and it's taken me 6 listens. Album of the year easily, and it's easily up there with the first album. What a record, feel like a total mong. gets better each listen for me as well tbh. terrific record. it'd probably sound even better if my headphones weren't FUCKING SHIT BAZ.

Hmm..listening to the first two tracks of Neon Bible makes me agree then the next three make me definitely disagree. Next four after that are strong but My Body is a Cage is the worst thing they've ever done.
Suburbs is more consistent and feels less forced. Is a bit too long though.

Finally got round to listening to The Suburbs today and I can't see why everyone's moaning so much. Seems like a decent enough record to me.

I hate Rococo and think its lyrics are terribly poor. And City with no children is so artless it hurts. Still going to see them in november, though.

Thought they were on top form at Reading when I watched it earlier. Some bands can't quite manage the jump to being headliners but they were excellent IMO.

Modern Man and Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) are pretty good too. Can't say is their best album, but it has grown on me.
