I was going to start a new thread and said fuck it. I am currently listening to Arcade Fire - Funeral - I haven't listened to this album in about 15 years. I will give you my thoughts after. I realised I'd not heard their debut in 12 years so gave it a couple of plays yesterday & it sounded glorious. I think the fact I don't have to hear the big singles on the Radio all the time now + enough time has gone by that I've forgotten how fucking annoying they are helped a great deal. Anyway, great record, quite enjoying Neon Bible as I type this. Might give the Suburbs a go. |

Oh god, I'm quite enjoying the Suburbs too. I don't know who I am anymore. Don't make me go back and listen to the Suburbs. I've had several arguments with people over the years about how the first two albums were great and all that came after was dogshit. I'm scared i'm gonna enjoy it now and I won't be able to show my face in several areas of England again. It's safer not to bother I think. |

Reflektor is a fantastic song innit Yes. Always been a fan of The Suburbs and Reflektor (the album) was better than I remembered last time I went back to it. Everything Now wasn't anything to shout about though so drawing the line there. |

If you had told me in 2005 right after I had seen them opening for U2, that 17 years later, I'd be sort of defending them on a former oasis message board, I'd have thought I'd lost my mind. I fucking HATED them back then. But the suburbs is great, as is two-thirds of reflektor.
Everything now is fucking drivel, though.
