Thought Berbatov's finish vs. Celtic was nice the other day. His first touch more than anything. Really hope he finds some fucking good form this season you can tell he's got the class ffs, that's the frustrating thing about him.

I always enjoy pre-season and usually go to a few games, just to get back in the swing of things
We've won our last 3 games:
4 - 0 vs Calais (A) 4 - 1 vs Peterborough (H) 4 - 1 vs Bishops Stortford (A)
Went to the Peterborough game and it was a good match - One of our real young talents is lighting up pre-season with 6 goals in 6 games so far.
Off to Ebbsfleet United away this afternoon, which being just down the road should be a good turnout!

man city got fucked up the arse in that 1st half against sporting lisbon. nice 2nd goal. such a shame we don't see the same kinda flair from the portugese national team anymore. except when they play north korea.

everton apparently looking good in preseason, magaye gueye has been banging them in when we toured australia and looknig like a good signing, for the grand sum of about a million quid, jermaine beckford scored 2 against preston today. we probably need one more midfielder and maybe a centre half though if we're going to win the league next season.

Wouldn't say he's been banging them in, as far as i can see he's scored one goal against Brisbane Roar.

Wouldn't say he's been banging them in, as far as i can see he's scored one goal against Brisbane Roar. you're right he I thought he'd scored against melbourne too. regardless, cost nothing and looks like a player, unsurprising really as its very rare for moyes to make a bad signing

Norwich City 2 - 1 Newcastle United its going to be a long hard season for the toon (that result isnt the indication mind, more the squad). i stand by my assertion a few soapboxes ago that everton will get 20 more points than you.

60 points would be an bad season for everton (we struggled last year a lot before xmas and got 61) 40 points would be a reasonable season for newcastle.
i'd imagine it'd be closer to 65 for us 45 for you.
you'd really take that bet?

bet? i meant i'd take the points ha, my misunderstanding, i thought there was a bit of pre-season optimism going on there, I offered that bet to bet welching prick a while ago but he didnt get back to me despite insisting the contrary. who are you partbrut and how do you think the toon will do? personally I reckon after the relegation battle being non existent last season and the likes of wigan and west ham getting away with pitiful point totals, there will be half a dozen teams in it at least. do you think you'll finish above the mackems?

I was Jumping Jack Flash originally and then many other popular reincarnations! And frankly I'd take 4th bottom, change of manager withstanding (providing Ashley would actually get someone decent, his only decent appointment thus far was Keegan which was clearly more about crowd pleasing anyway). Wolves, Wigan, West Ham, Blackpool and West Brom are teams I can realistically see us finishing above under the current regimes, possibly Fulham depending on who they appoint. The mid table shit sloggers are all too well drilled for us to touch them I fear.
Player for player I don't think there's much difference between us and Sunderland but they're far more orgnised under that mash potato faced cunt. Witness Bramble, an abomination with us, but under Bruce at Wigan with the need to defend on your own wits less of an issue he's a really good player, can't see us finishing above them though - a derby double however would do nicely.
I can see Everton improving a good amount on last year if they can keep Arteta and Saha fit along with the rest of the squad so 20 points off you would see us about 13th, just like the mediocre days of Gullit, Dalglish, Souness and Roeder, lovely.

Any of those Norwich goals by Jackson or Crofts? Both very popular ex-Gills
They are also a cracking side and I am tempted on a sneaky bet for them to go straight up away
