ive probably seen the second largest amount of bands live on this forum after mahoney but theres still fucking tonnes im dying to see.

the flaming lips (got tickets for next july) the jesus and mary chain pavement my bloody valentine bjork neil young rem guided by voices the white stripes best coast

i guess maybe youve seen more of the cooler bigger bands but i see more shitty indie bands in front of 20 people.

I'm not so sure Bowie is that realistic, he's done nothing for years after somebody threw that lollypop in his eyeball. I guess eventually he'll do something but it doesn't look like it'll be anytime soon.

true, you go to your fair share of gigs too. i guess maybe youve seen more of the cooler bigger bands but i see more shitty indie bands in front of 20 people. yuh... theres too many festivals in Austin,TX. and every band comes through here. its the utopia of music in the US.

I prob can write down all the ones this yr which include: -the cribs -guided by voices -my bloody valentine -pavement -the black keys -the strokes (twice) -muse -gorillaz -pixies -interpol -black angels -black mountain -brmc -neil young -ray davies -tiesto -deadmaus
God... i cant remember the other ones but im sure im missing a few good ones

I think you can kiss goodbye to any chance of seeing My Bloody Valentine or the JAMC.
Those MBV shows in 08 were it. I doubt Shields will ever get his shit together enough to tour again. The JAMC just don't care anymore.

I get that feeling with J&MC, I was shocked nobody really give a shit. Brixton wasn't even sold out, a friday night with the horrors and evan dando.
I know there is much more legacy around MBV but their tour was massive! J&MC were a much bigger act back in the day.
Anyway, glad I saw them both. Had emotional soapbox events with both, MBV with abs, babu, oasisbrother, monkeytennis, andygoingnowhere & the rocks_man at J&MC.
