thought it would be interesting to bump this thread to see how people have done with their lists 4 years on and laugh at chrissie's comment about MBV and JAMC i managed to knock the flaming lips, neil young and my bloody valentine off my list. also have tickets for JAMC later on in the year. other than that best coast i really dont care about much anymore, fuck knows why i liked them so much around the time of the debut, rem, pavement and the white stripes have split and the bjork/guided by voices would still very much be on my list. so barring people ive not seen yet but have tickets for upcoming gigs such as JAMC/ryan adams, here is my current top ten id like to catch live at some point that are alive/still occassionally playing gigs... the replacements bjork guided by voices daniel johnston tom waits foxygen bob dylan (yeah i know hes shit nowadays but decided i wanna see him before he dies) david bowie (have a feeling he will do another gig some day) jack white bruce springsteen

In active, although I've included a few debatable ones in my quick list. 1. Paul McCartney 2. The Rolling Stones3. The Libertines4. The Rifles 5. Fleet Foxes6. Blur7. Crocodiles 8. Stereophonics TBH 9. The Vines 10. Ariel Pink's Haunted GraffittiDid I really start this thread? Anyway, not bad tbh. Hope Sir Paul comes here soon. I could make JP's current list pass as mine bar Dylan and Daniel that I've seen twice each and Bjork that I don't care about.

I think you can kiss goodbye to any chance of seeing My Bloody Valentine or the JAMC. Those MBV shows in 08 were it. I doubt Shields will ever get his shit together enough to tour again. The JAMC just don't care anymore. In this instance I'm more than happy to be proved wrong Seeing the JAMC in November at the Barrowland

Rage against the machine 7. The La's, assuming Mavers ever gets his act together 8. The Coral 9. The Charlatans 10. Beady eyeOnly 3...I had a ticket for the la's a few years ago, but they cancelled. top 10 now: 1) stone roses 2) libertines 3) jarvis/pulp 4) ac/dc 5)...I can't even think of anyone else right now.

Have been pretty lucky in this regard. Of my top 50 lastfm artists there's only 7 i haven't seen, and three of them are dead.
Would still like to see:
Tom Waits Thee Oh Sees Lonnie Liston Smith David Axelrod Scott Walker PJ Harvey The Kinks Simon & Garfunkel Eric B & Rakim (seen Rakim, but don't suppose i'll ever get to see him on stage with Eric B) Lee Perry

thought it would be interesting to bump this thread again a few years on since the last posts to see who else people have managed to tick off their lists and what their new lists look like.
i managed to see the replacements, bruce springsteen and bob dylan from my last list whilst bowie is now DEAD.
i think my latest top ten would look something like this...
tom waits bjork daniel johnston guided by voices robert wyatt massive attack lcd soundsystem grandaddy angel olsen kendrick lamar

I still stand by that. There's no way I'd be spending £100 to see him 50 miles back at Hyde park.

Btw, crossed Macca from that list and now there's only a few of them I really really want to see.
Jack White -> he's the one, this is mandatory Tom Waits -> hopefully, but I doubt it Bruce Springsteen / Neil Young / The Who -> not sure if I ever will tbh, seem to come once in a while to Spain but never soon enough for that price SFA Yeah Yeah Yeahs The Flaming Lips -> not that big fan but I think at least once in a lifetime I should Whitney, King Gizard -> seeing them in Coachella hopefully
PS: how the fuck you haven't seen the likes of Thee Oh Sees, Daniel Johnston or PJ Harvey yet and I have seen them all at least twice?

Thing is you surely have more chances of catching any of them over there, not a cocks competition. Sorry if it sounded like that

Sorry, my reply wasn't mean to come over like that either. I definitely wasn't gig boasting. I guess i was just trying to make a point that although i hadn't got round to catching DJ, PJ and Thee Oh Sees, I had the others.
Although that still sounds like gig boasting. Oh, I don't know!
