Highly likely I'll be late for work now Dirty Rain is awesome - reminds me a little of Blue Hotel off Follow the Lights mind

Highlights for me are definitely Dirty Rain, Come Home and Invisible Riverside. Is Mandy Moore on backing vocals? It sounds great, anyhow. Rocks is the worst song on first listen.

It is definitely his mellowest album to date, even Love is Hell sounds Ladrock compared to this.

Out of excitement I'm allowing myself one stream before the proper leak. Almost finished listening, yeah it's mellow as hell. Perhaps too mellow for me but we shall see. Sort of record that you need to let unfold with repeated listens.
Just opened my email & seen I've won tickets from the bbc to see him friday at bush hall with Neil Finn & some other cunt, probably only playing 4/5 songs but can't complain.

Posted a leak in the turtle. It says 192kbps but don't know how you can check. File is over 100mb so can't be too bad?

I've become fussy about 192kbps mp3s. Whenever I come across something I've not listened to in a while and discover it's 192 it gets replaced almost immediately with a lovely v0 or better.

This is basically pretty boring, sounds a lot like Cardinology and Cold Roses. It's so fucking tasteful all the way through. Few good tunes at the start, but after a couple of listens I'm pretty unimpressed. But then I could've said the same about III/IV which turned out to be the biggest record of all time, I can be a bit harsh on him I guess.

Had two listens so far.
Last night I wasn't too fussed to be honest - alot of the songs seemed wash over me and generally struggled to really get into it.
Had another after work and loved it - so jury is still out for me.
Production is lovely!

Yeah it all sounded kind of the same to me, it's gonna be tough diferentiating each song in order to memorize them.

Had another after work and loved it - so jury is still out for me. Production is lovely! finally got it downloaded & it's sounding so much better than when I listened to the stream. I can see this not being for everyone but I'd recommend everybody gives it a fair spin as I can see this one creeping up on people.
