New Ryan Adams out in October. www.nme.com/news/ryan-adams/58581I'm very excited about this, based on nothing but Ryan's facebook updates. Did anyone go to his recent tour? If so what were the new tunes like?

He played 3/4 new songs in most his sets I thought? He definitely did in Oslo & the UK because I was looking at the setlists.

I am officially excited about Ryan again. I like doing this even more now Andy doesn't post anymore (RIP)

Ok, I didn't know that. In Amsterdam he didn't play any new songs. I am looking forward to this though!

Read this earlier - if you go to pitchforks article on it there are live versions of the title track and Dirty Rain.
Easy Tiger and Crapinology killed my enthusiasm for a bit but III/IV has bought it back with a bang.
Off to listen to Faithless Street

New album is called "Ashes & Fire". It was produced by Glyn Johns ( rocknroll wizard & true gentleman). It has 11 songs on it. I played acoustic on all of them and sang and played live to tape. We recorded the album ALL 100 percent ANALOG ( 2" tape mixed to 1/4" ). A computer didn't touch this album. It has very few overdubs. I gave these songs the most consideration I have ever given and it is certainly the longest amount of time I've spent writing. It was made with total love. Very excited. XX

Ha some reviewers who were at the listening party in New York yesterday said it has a real Neil Young vibe to it.
I'm looking forward to it.

Nice, pretty little tune. Jacksonville-style. Couldn't have asked for more.

Enjoyed that guardian article. Really like the song again. When I heard that last 3/4 record whatever its called my excitement for Ryan Adams came back again. I had a feeling he would deliver something special with this album so it's nice to see that the press are saying it's true. Gutted I couldn't get tickets for union chapel, I don't understand why he is playing there it's 200 people. Literally a 100 tickets are on ebay now.

I do love Laura Marling but tbh I've found her kind of dull the couple of times I've seen her. Fantastic talent though.
