Children of the Corn (1984) One of those Stephen Kings where regular people get thrown into a fucked up spot and make bad decisions but eventually kinda save the day. I laughed and laughed tho. Some good child acting. 6/10

Sudden Impact [1983] Had read some negative things about this one but it hit the spot well, didn't feel like it came out in 83 minus the opening music, still felt like a grim mid 70's thriller. Just have The Dead Pool to watch now, enjoyed the first 4 Dirty Harry films. 7

It gets better indeed. It's crazy, it's absolutely everywhere you look at the moment.

The Dancer Upstairs It has Javier Bardem as the lead (he's the best thing about this film TBH, isn't he just amazing? Like Midas turning everything he touches into gold, including Penelope Cruz's snatch ?) Anyway it's a film based on a true story that took place long ago in Peru, where a policeman tracks down a guerrilla leader who's trying to overthrow the government. Directed by John Malkovich, who's also great TBF. The photography is very pretty and the acting overall is decent. The pace of the film varies throughout and it kept me interested to see where it'd go. I've had the DVD for years in my collection but never bothered to see it before (bought it on sale for like $5 at Blockbuster). I was pleasantly surprised. The negative? Latin American actors acting in English with a Latin American accent . 6.56/10

Duel [1971] Pretty cool to think that the director of E.T, Jaws & Indiana Jones started off making a carsploitation/thriller/horror movie & a fucking good one as well. Really impressive how he managed to keep the suspense at such a high level throughout with such a simple idea. 8

Tarantula [1955] Over 50 years old and the special effects still don't look as bad as Transformers. Goofy fun 6 Shaft 1971]
you damn right! A good film but considering it's probably the most famous of the Blaxploitation films I felt it lacked a bit of punch compared to the likes of SuperFly, Truck Turner & Coffy, though from the look of the film it does feel like alot more money was spent production wise than those others which is probably why it's a more popular title. Last 20 minutes were superb. Whats the remake with Samuel L Jackson like? 7.5

Hanging out with a lady friend of mine she made me watch couple of seasons of this visual abortion. everytime she laughed my penis shrunk more and more.....does life turn out so shit that this becomes funny? i don't know but this sort of comedy is an insult ,like someone farting aborted fetuses into your birthday caked baked by your own mom. worst shit i've seen and thank god i don't have cable because i'd kick the shit out of it for showing that shit. 0/10

"you can tell when you done made good love to your woman cos she goes to sleep...but if you finish fucking and your woman want to talk about computer components, you got some more fuckin' to do" 8.5/10

How I Met Your Mother is total garbage, and I like broad American glossy studio laughter-heavy sitcoms with beautiful people gurning al the way through, it's not snobbery at all, it's just... why are none of the jokes funny? And why can't the cast deliver them? And just... why?? Lemming Bizarre, French & Lynchian. I only bought it because I saw it had Charlotte Gainsbourg in who I well love and it was part of a decent priced boxset with another film I wanted in, so was a really pleasant surprise 8/10

LA ink. Kat is having an intern to see if she's got what it takes to become a tattoo artist. First costumer was alright, the second costumer stormed out after having her armed butchered by the intern. She wanted a zip lock on her arm that opened up and flowers and notes came out. She was a musician singing souther rock to the soldiers. She didn't like the result, thus stormed out. Kat did not look amused. After the break/now it's starting again they'll evaluate the intern. 10/10 for me, god bless awful tattoos on souther rock people.
