What are the chances of that? Un Flic [1972] Again, fucking wonderful. The entire look, the slow pacing, the use of dialogue only when needed & the subtle score creates such a wonderful atmosphere. 9 Death Race 2000 [1975] big ideas with a low budget, guilty fun. 7

I watched the first 30-40 minutes of Watchmen last night and totally passed out. What a wank film; dull, forced, badly acted and uninspiring. Awful, awful, awful. 2/10 (the 2 belonging to the opening credits & song)
But, on the other hand, I have been on a That 70's Show binge lately. Watched season 1 and I'm in the middle of season 2 right now. It's sad that this sitcom jumped the shark after the 5th season, but I suppose the seasons that are good are really good. The episodes always remind me of how cool it can be to be a teenager, if you have a tight group of mates and a hot ginger neighbor wanting you all the time (neither of which I did). The jokes are strong, and I could watch them over and over and still lol at everything Kelso and Fez say, and fancy Hyde a little bit more with every viewing. Season 1: 7/10 Season 2: 8/10

winter passing 7/10 good page, this I've been meaning to see this for a while, it's the one with forum heartthrob and mascara saleswoman Zooey Deschanel and Will Ferrell (no not Elf) isn't it? I bet it's exactly like I imagne it. Read a bit about Le Cercle Rouge as well even before I saw Mahoney's review, added that to the list

yeah, its exactly how you probably imagine it. Ed harris is in it too, which was nice.
yah, should get them watched me too. Id like to go to more "indie" cinemas, where they show movies like that. One here is having a dennis hopper theme this fall. Should try to catch apocalypse now on the big screen. get some birds there too, hopefully. anyway, hipster clichéd ridden cancer post over.

btw live forever at the end of charlie bright still made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up haha same it's fucking amazing ain't it? It's just so fucking uplifting at the end of the film, fists in the air YES! I like that film, not seen it for a few years but probably a 7 from me. By no means a great film but alot of the type of estates & characters are very similar to alot that I used to knock around when I was younger so it hits on an emotional level. Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy [2010] Got this off the net, hasn't been released over here yet. Basically it's a detailed documentary about the franchise of the Nightmare on Elm St Series, it lasts 4 fucking hours Really good though I was a huge fan as a child of those films had them all on VHS & remember most of them inside out. Really good interviews with almost everyone who ever appeared in one of the films. minus the likes of Johnny Depp & Patricia Arquette. Covered everything from each film to the merchandise to the TV series. Was pretty honest as well, the people involved weren't afraid to mock some of poor titles in the series, also loved the fact they made a 1000 gags about how fucking HOMO the whole of the 2nd film is. Best part was the little boy in A New Nightmare, to get him to cry they had his own father tell him that his mother was dead Anyway, if you are/were a big fan of the series and have 4 hours to burn then it's well worth it. 8

Easy A [2010] this is a film for the 17 and under set. there was a group of about eight 16 yr olds in front of us that laughed and laughed at lines that were worthy of a chuckle or a smile. and 2 mins of penn badgley and thomas haden church couldn't save it either. 3/10 I know you get shit on sometimes for your movie choices, but Im stunned that a grown woman would go see that by choice. Not that its a bad thing, but it was so astonishing I had to say something. Love you btw. xoxo
