Avatar (2009) I went to the theater to see this when it was out and remembered really loving the 3D. Unfortunately I proper passed out maybe a third of the way through. This time a saw it sober on a small shitty screen and loved it. The premise is great and the story doesn't let it down even though it is so long. I love how they didn't get too complicated with detail or science fiction. Action sequences were beautiful and acting superb. If I had gotten to experience the 3D theater again I'd likely given it a 9. But only hazily remembering the 3D and pairing it with what I saw it gets an 8. 8/10

u can download it from there as well as stream it but yeh I'd imagine the usual places will have high quality rips & whatnot. Watched a few films that never made it past VHS on stagevu, is good for rare & cult stuff that'll never appear on dvd or uncut on dvd.

Those guys are pussies. I only care about Freddy.
Which is a bit fucked up seeing as Freddy is a kiddy fiddler and the other two guys are not that evil, but character wise, Freddy rules.

I want to see The Town. I am definitely not an Affleck fan, in fact I've really hated the bastard before -- BUT Gone Baby Gone was good and this is getting good reviews. I've warmed up to him more the past few years.

Easy A [2010] this is a film for the 17 and under set. there was a group of about eight 16 yr olds in front of us that laughed and laughed at lines that were worthy of a chuckle or a smile. and 2 mins of penn badgley and thomas haden church couldn't save it either. 3/10 i was wondering if you were going to see this, do you go alone? if you ever need company

Excellent, I have Le Doulos here in my Melville boxset I got a few days ago, absolutely loved the two films I've seen so far. Will watch it very soon. u can download it from there as well as stream it but yeh I'd imagine the usual places will have high quality rips & whatnot. Watched a few films that never made it past VHS on stagevu, is good for rare & cult stuff that'll never appear on dvd or uncut on dvd. is that where you got that swedish movie that I asked about? I should look on that site more, then. Thriller: A Cruel Picture? No, I have that on DVD, just checked it isn't on stagevu which is surprising, I'm pretty sure u can get that off Piratebay or any of the usual torrent sites though. Escape from Alcatraz [1979] Typical prison-break film, really good though. The tension during the escape was unbearable at times. As usual.. Eastwood>life English: Now you didn't sit down for two reasons, either you scared or you just hate niggers. Frank Morris: I'm not scared, [sits down next to black inmates] Frank Morris: I just hate niggers.8

I've warmed up to him more the past few years. Yeah I gotta say too that Ben Affleck topped my list for most hated celebrity back in my late teens/early 20's, but he's seriously stepped it up I don't even hate him anymore; his recent work is respectable and I actually enjoy it nowadays. I guess this is what they call "growing up"

Missing In Action.jpg [1984] Loved these films as a kid, bit of a shame the internet has turned Chuck into such a laughing stock, he was in some terrible films but always thought he was convincing enough as the all American action hero. Need to watch the 2nd Missing in action again as I remember liking that one alot more. This is just 90 minutes of Chuck blowing shit up which is fun but theres no depth to any of it, I seem to remember there being alot more going on in the follow up plus the scene with the sack over the face with the rat, nasty shit. 6

Day of the Dead (2008) Its a "remake" of the Romero movie with Mena "Divine Hammer" Suvari and Nick Cannon receiving top billing I was flipping through the channels and it was just starting so I watched it. This movie is a no-budget piece of shit that no one in their right minds should ever watch by choice. There has to be something else worth watching than this. The plotholes are too numerous to list, the acting is stereotypical and terrible, and even the gore is stupid. Its funny to see fuckups so blatant onscreen too, like you see boom mics and set markers in various scenes. This movie is a no good piece of shit and you shouldn't watch it. About the only thing I took away from this film is when she has bangs covering Sir Rumpelkorn (the name of her forehead) Mena Suvari is quite attractive and I've always been unmoved by her before. The other people in the movie are all shit though. Fucking Ving Rhames is in it too. Hes doing well these days. 2/10

Le Doulos [1962] I enjoyed this but not nearly as much as Un Flic & Le cercle rouge. This was really dialogue heavy which is fine but the reason I loved the other two so much was how Melville managed to tell the story visually & only used dialogue when it was needed, pretty similar to how Leone shoots his films. Was still a good film though & the type which is probably more rewarding on further viewings. 7

Bruno
The first time I tried to watch Bruno was off of a downloaded screener with shit audio and I thought it was such crap that Id never bother again. Well, it was on one of the movie channels and I watched it in HD clarity this time around and it was such shit. There are some definite laughs in the film, but as a film, absolutely not. Horrible.
3/10
It gets a 3 specifically for the UFC scene, OJ, and the swingers party.
