gonna get laughed at here but i still think it's one of the best horror movies i've ever seen. and one of the only ones that genuinely creeps me out. i didint like it. in scary movies, I get the reaction that "hey, come on its justa movie" to defend myself from getting scared. in some cases. I get well scared watching movies. I remember watching 'inception' alone and I had to turn on the lights in the first panoramic scene over the island when the music started. The best reaction that Ive witnessed to any scary movie is however when my gf at the time yelled and was angry for real, that "WE DONT FINISH WATCHING THAT MOVIE!" about "eden lake".

Crazy Heart - 9/10
Loved it tbh. Had a similar vibe to The Wrestler, I reckon. Obviously there were some differences but it had a similar feel. Thought Jeff Bridges was great in it, best I've seen since Lebowski. Farrell was good, too. Expected him to play the part of a total cuntfuck so was nicely surprised at how his character developed. Oh, and Robert Duvall, he's a total geezer. Thought the film ended pretty much perfectly and left it open to interprit how you want.

its really dull. theres so much going on I think people get confused and have a feeling in their head that they had in school when they could barely follow going on, but thats not stimulation, thats boredom.
aside from that I really couldn't care less about any of the characters. as for the intrigue about the ending: it was fucking shit.

I really wanna see Let The Right One In, everyone has been raving about it. The House Bunny, not so much; although how much Emma Stone does it contain? I love her.

It's a touching film Baz, definitely seek it out before the remake that is released in a few weeks. its really dull. theres so much going on I think people get confused and have a feeling in their head that they had in school when they could barely follow going on, but thats not stimulation, thats boredom. aside from that I really couldn't care less about any of the characters. as for the intrigue about the ending: it was fucking shit. You are a good man David. Now I remember why I let you beat me in our head to head.

I intend to, I've just not got around to seeing it yet. I've still got a few Cohen films sitting on my shelf I've still not seen like Millers Crossing, Barton Fink & O Brother, Where Art Thou? so hopefully I'll catch up on the Cohen's soon.
If you are after something a bit different from this year then theres a greek film called Dogtooth which is worth checking out, the kind of film that gives you no answers & leaves you thinking about what you saw for days.

It's absolutely beautiful, really touching. Emma Stone is in it quite a bit, she's like the 2nd major character, I really like her too but she's kinda cringe-worthy in this one, I don't know; it's not her fault though, she does what she can with a horrible script.

Atonement 'Fucking hell!' is the expression I'm looking for. I cried. Yeah that's right. No but seriously, beautiful, beautiful film. 8/10
Shopgirl Sigh. Whoever thought casting Steve Martin as a serious gentleman with a penchant for Claire Danes' butt seriously needs a kick in the balls. I kept cringing whenever they kissed or when a sex scene would come on. Slow-paced and a few plotholes, but Jason Schwartzman was great as usual though, I'd like to touch his chest hair for a bit. 5/10

Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Watched the reboot. What a pile of flaming donkey crap. There is nothing worth mentioning about it whatsoever. It was so freaking boring. How can Freddy be boring? Watch this and find out.
1/10

Great book and have been looking forward to see it. Think it's very likely the movie can actually be better than the book though. (Just because the book is so short anyway.)
