mum and dad (2008) 6 saw the trailer for this ages ago and thought it looked really good. then a few months back i remember mahoney reviewing it and saying it was terrible so that put me off but i finally just got round to watching this. now i really like the idea but thought it could have been executed a whole lot better. the dad charachter was pretty cool but the rest were all a bit shit. the polish girl i didnt care about, in fact i was egging dad on to rape her n shit, probably not the way it was meant to be. the acting from the rest of the family was pretty poor at times too. so yeah not awful by any means and i did enjoy it on the strength of the idea and dad being a cool motherfucker, but could have been so much better.

Most people do seem to rate it JP, I just found it completely awful & Perry Benson who I've liked in everything I've seen him in I thought was laughably awful in it as well. Still I'm glad you didn't love it, that would of hurt me to the point where I'd of had to of watched it again incase I'd got it spectacularly wrong, isn't often a film really offends me by being so bad & I watch a lot of shit films but mum & dad really pissed me off.

continuing with the "shocking" documentaries. This time it's "Quants: The Alchemists of Wall Street" about how fucked up the trade market really is. Direct, important and basically what everyone should know before buying stocks. 9/10

Oceans, 7/10, I take three points off because the ending is really fucking depressing and it didn't mesh well with my stoned mind, I almost threw up at the bit with the finning and killing. Why'd they have to make such a beautiful film turn into that? It's incredibly sad.
Benjamin Button, 6/10, I'd seen it before and the Forrest Gump similarities were highlighting yet again. Cate Blanchett is as great as ever though, but Brad Pitt needs a slap in the face. The effects haven't aged well. David Fincher's worst film IMO.

I got 10 minutes into kickass and switched it off because everybody in it was a complete cunt nearly did the same with zombieland but hung on and didn't hate it 6 the running man 8 the mechanic 8 the last man on earth 7 didn't like kickass either, yet i suffered through the whole thing. i loved zombieland though. which mechanic, karl? is statham's released over there? i think it's january here. or bronson's? Bronson of course, though I have decided that I like the Statham since seeing the Expendables so maybe I will watch that one day. Tango & Cash 7 Last House On The Left 7 Let The Right One In 8.5 (enjoyed it even more on second viewing) & watched A Tale Of Two Sisters for the first time which disappointed me. The concept of the actual story isn't my cup of tea but most of all the script was a complete mess to the point where I really didn't care what was happening .which was a real shame as everything else from was pretty much faultless. 6

The effects haven't aged well. In two years? Surely you mean the effects are not very good rather than how they've aged, they've had no time to age!

I like The Orch's worn out look, he looks like a man who has experienced much in his life time, a wise man who's every wrinkle & line on his face tells a story. Must of been some journey after seeing stay youngs tits.

the blind side 9/10
i truly loved it even though i cried through a few different parts. it was heartbreaking and inspirational all at the same time.

really? i must say i thought although it had some touching moments and a couple of good performances, vast swathes of it were republican-cheering, god-fearing shite.

well yeh that's true, i think i just found myself looking past those parts for the bigger story... the fact that it's a true story and that this woman had the heart to do what she did for him just brought me to tears. i really was that moved. i'm pretty much a sap though
