This Is England '86 [2010] Got this on DVD, I only saw the first two episodes & decided to leave it as the adverts were really taking me out of the series. I made the right choice, highly recommend picking it up or downloading it to anyone who watched it, makes the experience so much more enjoyable. Anyway, I thought it was really good & it terms of quality & could comfortably sit next to anything else Meadows has put out. It's not easy to go from laugh out loud moments to deadly serious ones within the matter of seconds but Meadows always manages to achieve this with his work. Definitely a success & I'd have no problems if there was a future this is england film or series as every character was given enough back story & involvement that you could go anywhere with that bunch. Didn't see it mentioned in the thread but perhaps it was common knowledge & I just didn't know but did anyone notice IAN BROWN playing a policemen in the fight between the main cast & the bike bang? I didn't until I watched the extra's & was like WTF, Ian has really short hair now from what he's had from the past 10 years or so, really suited him. Wonder if it was shot before or after he PUNCHED HIS WIFE. 8.5

Video Nasties: Moral Panic, Censorship & Videotape [2010] Got this 3disc set through, not had a chance to watch it all yet but it's packed full of nasty goodness. The documentary itself probably didn't go into the actual films as much as I'd of liked and just concentrated on British law regarding the eventual classification of home video which was pretty interesting. Had read alot about all this in the past so it was nothing new but still a good watch. Tory scum claimed to of done scientific tests with 'video nasties' on 'Children & Dogs' & claimed to have proof that it would corrupt them Cornershop owners were being arrested for hiring out The Driller Killer & the Evil Dead & all sorts. Someone standing up for horror films later in the Jamie Buldger case getting a roasting for defending childs play 3 on Sky news replied with 'you do realise this film is showing on Sky Movies?' & got cut off A good documentary, probably give it a 7 but it's the 13 hours of trailers & extra's that I'm more interested in watching.

i agree with you erica, although i definitely think its much better than the hangover, because that cunt Bradley cooper is absent in this one and let's admit it, robert is cool as fuck.

nah, autobahn, i liked bradley cooper better in the hangover. i thought robert was a dick in this movie. what guy doesn't leave their wallet in their pants anyway? the whole movie could've been avoided.

Love Actually nth time I see it (not voluntarily, there's usually never anything better on tbf). Say whatever you want about this film but the chemistry between Liam Neeson and Thomas Sangster is what pulls this film to the end. Probably the better one of the bunch of this 'ensamble-cast rom/com' trend. 6/10 Love Actually is the closest a film like that can get to a 10/10 tbh

5.5/10 Some good parts but overall strange. I really don't know what it is about this film that makes me not like it that much. Its a great idea, a world were only people who committed suicide live at. I think that it is the fact that everyone in the film is so depressing. Noone ever smiles until the last shot of the film.
