Alligator II: The Mutation [1991] Pretty shit, mildly entertaining. Only got it because it came free with the first one which is actually pretty good. Still this one has a cameo from the guy who used to be in a tag-team with Mr. Fuji & also played SubZero in The Running Man so that was cool. 4

R-Point [2004] Was like a Korean version of Predator. First hour built up tension nicely & had me gripped but the final 45 minutes didn't deliver what I expected it to. A decent watch but nothing more 6.25

2/10 Gets a point for the "I wanna get chocolate wasted" part 8.5/10 great film. Christian Bale steals the film. Better win the Oscar for best actor as supporting role. 9/10 Only reason why I rate it higher than The Fighter is bc of the cinematography. Its fuckin dark and crap. I love dark films. A bit disappointed about the sex scene between mila kunis and natalie portman... my friends hyped it WAY TOO MUCH. Oh and the sound effects are pretty badass... i dont know why i kept noticing that. 8/10 Another very cool film. I dont know if it will be nominated for an Oscar but its definitely a must see this yr.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall, first time I saw this I was broken-hearted so it kinda clicked, this time I'm not so I didn't find it as funny. 6.1/10

Armed Response [1986] Really enjoyed this. Never before have I seen a film that felt more late 80's than this but it delivered on the action front & had a good cast in Dick Miller, David Carradine, Lee Van Cleef & the deformed bloke from The Hills Have Eyes. 7.25

Scarface [1983] First time I'd seen this start to finish. Had tried it a few times over the years but was always on TV kind of late so was a struggle to get through then I'd seen the last ten minutes many times. Really loved it, I know many seem to think it's overrated mostly due to how iconic the back end of the film is but for me it's a wonderful simple story of one mans greed & inability to realise what is really important in his life. 9.25 Fuck yes. Used to wind me right up, the abuse that film got on here One of my absolute favourites, no question. Watched the 1951 The Day The Earth Stood Still. First time i'd seen it, and really enjoyed it. It's 90 minutes, yet flew by, and felt like half that, so that was nice too. Simple story, kind of the typical "rise from nothing, fall from grace" tale, but Pacino's performance elevates it to something special.

Well that goes without saying, the whole film hinges on Pacino's performance. Should he of not pulled it off the whole film would of collapsed. It's just a shame Pacino turned into an almost caricature of Tony Montana in most of his performances after Scarface. Up In Smoke [1978] Wasn't sure if I'd like this or if it would of dated too much. Normally I struggle with old comedies unless I was into them when I was younger & I'd never even heard of Cheech and Chong but I absolutely loved it. I laughed out loud on a few occasions & it was great fun from the off. Surprised it isn't mentioned more often really, seemed to me like a cross between something like Napoleon Dynamite & Wayne's World. 8 À bout de souffle [1960] Loved this. My first Godard film, anyone got any recommendations of what to see next? Everyone in the film was just so damn cool looking. If your gonna do on the run then thats how to do it in style. 8.75

I've seen that film more times than I've had hot dinners. So many classic moments and quotes from it. Very surprised you hadn't heard of Cheech & Chong before though. They are incredibly famous tbh. Got several films and comedy albums. Up In Smoke is a cult classic the world over.

Yeh I asked a few people about them today and they were like 'eh how could you not of heard of them?' I got a double pack with 'Still Smokin' so I'll check that out in the near future. I cracked up when they smoked the dog shit

Black Swan 9.8/10 as good as a film gets for me, i was hoping it would never end and just carry on as part of my life, i wanted to bring it home and hold it all night then cook breakfast for it in the morning.

Hard Boiled [1992] Gutted as my DVD was badly dubbed with no option for the original language track which really put me off. I just feel so unconnected to a film when its' dubbed. The action scenes were sensational though, this is the second John Woo film I've seen and as far as shootouts go those two films have probably the finest two shootouts I've ever seen with some of the biggest body counts as well. Will probably have to re-buy it to get a non dubbed version. 7, probably an 8 if my dvd weren't so pony.

I betta check that black swan film out. expendables 6/10 I was kinda dissapointed, but in a way I wasn't. I didnt even think the action scenes were that great. training day 9/10 it's one of my favourite ones. Seen it about 5 times or so and I was astounded by the fact that I still rated is as higlhy. Denzel put in the performance of the decade, perhaps not but he's fucking great. It's big but yet it's the story line, acting and character and plot development that makes it amazing. "yet" yah, not what I meant. it's just fucking great.

Seinfeld - The FinaleFirst of all, this is impossible to rate. Having been watching seasons 8 and 9 recently I finally allowed myself to watch the Finale and it was a long time coming. Back when I was getting into the show 5 or 6 years ago I forced myself to save the last episode until I managed to get the whole lot on DVD, but being me I only managed to ever get up to season 7, although obviously I'd seen the other episodes too at different stages over the years. It dawned on me again recently that I hadn't watched it yet and I decided to start watching at season 8. For about 3 years I watched Seinfeld to death, knew every episode inside out so I've not bothered watching any of them for the past year, maybe more. But this past month has reminded how great the show is. Reminded me of the glory days of when I first starting getting into it. Truly, The Beatles of comedy TV.

Great movie, saw it Tuesday night. I hope Nat Portman gets an Oscar for her performance. Some of the scenes were tough to watch but overall it was a stunning movie. Looking for it online right now to rewatch some parts.
