I use the proper scale. The mahoney scale. 5 = average.

Ffs ana, average = slap down the middle which is a 5. Me and findus spent many months perfecting the soapbox scale, please respect it.

009: Public Enemies Was expecting more with Bale, Depp and being directed by Mann. Whilst both give good performances the story just doesn't grab me. I've tried so many times to watch it all the way through and just lose interest. Saying that, its a decent watch. Many many worse films out there and parts of it are enjoyable enough 6

sea of love (1989)7 quite liked this one. pacino is pretty cool as are the rest of the cast and its a nice simple little plot. basically theres a killer on the lose killing men who post adverts in a lonely hearts column so pacino and his cop sidekick post an advert to try and find the killer. like i say, quite enjoyed it but dont really feel compelled to rate it any higher.

010 - Smart People Decent, if not fairly dull romantic 'comedy'. Ellen Page is good in it playing her usual character, as is the bloke from Sideways. The story is quite uninspiring but enjoyed it. Plus I didn't hate Sarah Jessica Parker as much as usual, which is a little bonus 5

005: The Third Man (1949) - Carol Reed Absolute classic, compelling, well written and tense, a noirish murder mystery set in post war Vienna with a nice twist, Good performances by Joseph Cotten and Alida Valli as the leads but Trevor Howard as the british police captain and Osron Welles steal the show, Welles is only in a few scenes too. The scene were we first see Welles character is fantastic too, brilliantly shot. A must watch 9.1/10

[011] Rambo: First BloodI have to confess I'd never seen any of the Rambo films until now, and I only saw it cause for some stoned reason I recorded it (on my TiVo thing) cause I read 'Rocky'...then when I went to watch it I realized it was Rambo . Anyway I'm glad I did, it was quite an adventure. I loved his little emotional breakdown at the end, it helps you wrap up and understand his movie-long silence and aloofness. I thought that was pretty well managed. When I was little my neighbors used to rave on about him but I avoided these films cause they screamed 'jungle' and 'war' and I was more into Indiana Jones and Doc Brown tbh. Anyway I really, really liked it! 8/10 [012] Rambo: First Blood part II Well, when I recorded Rambo I also recorded parts 2 and 3... I gotta say that all throughout this film I kept thinking "Rambo=JESUS". That funny image of Jesus that says "fuck your sins, I'm going home"? That one. Anyway I thought this one was way more bad-ass and action-packed, but the first one seemed a bit more at home, I don't know, more emotional, I could 'relate' to Rambo better in the first one, his loneliness and inner troubles in this one were overshadowed by his insane muscles and sweaty chest. It wasn't that bad though, it had that adorable 80's action film style that we all know and love. I also loved how NONE of the bullets ever hit him even though they shoot straight at him! 7/10

awesome reviews ana. if you like the third one as much im doing what rabo never did and move to venezuela and marry you. watched the whole of peep show now. I think the whole show is a 10/10. The seasons kind of blurred into one another after the first one I guess. But 10/10 overall. Lots of lots of laughing in different ways and great ensemble. Too bad it's over

5/10 cheesy and would have been a lot better if it didn't have political themes attached to it, pretty good but something i wouldn't go out my way to watch again, would have been better if he was just a deranged killer killing for kicks instead of this whole immigration bullshit.
