Barny you are utter drivel mate. Put some effort in, eh? What do you think this is, parapepper hour? (Sorry Bakester)
As for American History X, I still love it. True, it is a bit heavy handed with the whole message but I think the writer/director was aware of what he was doing (what with the bite the curb and shower rape scenes) which makes me feel a bit better about the whole thing. It's not really there to preach, it's just there to tell a story, which it does very well I reckon. From the basketball court scene to the folding sheets in jail scenes, it ran along smoothly enough for me, his transformation might not have been that believable but it didn't come across as forced. Plus Ed Norton alone makes the film more than a 6.1/10. I'll give you one thing though, all the characters bar Derek, Danny, Seth and maybe Cameron were paper thin.

#33 Miller's Crossing (1990) 8.25 #34 Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) Wouldn't rank alongside my favourite John Carpenter films but considering the lack of a budget this is a pretty solid film. 7

Jurassic Park 3, (2001) [9]
A bit like the first one. Dinosaurs killing people, but without a good story. Still, dinosaurs killing people gets you to a 6 in my book. 6,5/10 The extra 0,5 for the appearance of Laura Dern. Always had the hots for her.

#35 SuperVixens [1975] Was fun, tons of big boobies & daft gags. Probably not as ridiculous as I'd hoped for but I had a good time with it. Also the Sheriff from Rambo was in there and stomped on a girls face until she died which was cool 6.5 #36 Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001) Heard many good things about this how it doesn't fit into any genre & feels fresh. Didn't care for it myself. Just felt like a very average period drama with a bad CGI wolf & a silly plot in the final 20 minutes. 5

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless MindI have a hard time getting on with this film. It's a technical marvel and seemingly beloved of everyone. Carrey and Winslet are good in their own right and I do enjoy it, possessing as it does of several excellent, even innovative moments. The thing is, you can have all the whizbang concepts in the world but when the two leads have absolutely no chemistry between each other, it's hard to care. If this film had even a touch of genuine emotional resonance it could fucking take off, but it doesn't. All of it's supposedly touching moments comes across as contrived afterthoughts at the expense of someone pointing at the screen, shouting in your ear every few minutes "YEAH YEAH, BUT LOOK HOW CLEVER THIS IS!" It believes in everything except itself. In short, it's a Muse record. Except not quite that bad. 6.3/10

Louie - Season 1 (2010) Louis C.K. does his best Curb Your Enthusiasm. The 21 minute episodes are mixed with his stand-up like Seinfeld. It's funny but the episodes themselves have no time to them so it so they never really have too much of a plot that can come to a satisfying conclusion. 7/10

I didn't expect it. Anything. Every turn of the score hit me and kicked me to the other corner of the room. I like the story, the characters, the performances, the editing. I like the way they have a great idea and don't center the whole film around it, but just show it like an addition to the connection between the characters. I don't know, I understand what you say cos it has happened to me with other films, but it's a bit like guessing the end, it ruins you the film so you wish it didn't happened. I must say that by accident I downloaded it in English (and I'm not used to it) so I had to pay a lot of attention to it and not overthink while I was watching it. 8.5/10

I think their lack of 'chemistry' might be cause that's the point, they hate each other in 90% of the film, their relationship has gone to shit. And when they're still in love, there might still not be that much chemistry, so to speak, cause that's the kind of people they are. Kind of expected tbh. I think that movie is at least an 8. [040] Planet of the ApesI've taken this competition to start watching some old classics I never bothered to check out, due to laziness and mostly focusing on contemporary cinema. Which is wrong! This film is infinitely better than that atrocity remake by Tim Burton. That man should really just pack it in and let the real talent work. Anyway this film I enjoyed quite a bit. Once you get past the obvious 'wtf/lol/no way that could happen/duh' moments it's pretty decent. When they crash and start walking through the desert all I kept thinking was 'they're obviously in Arizona lol' so the ending was kind of expected, yet unexpected at the same time. In the words of Michael Kelso 'those monkeys were really good actors!'. 7.5/10

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) 9Continuing my gradual catchup of films I should've watched/books I should've read before now but never got round to. Thought it was great, quite long at two and a quarter hours or so but that just adds to the tedium of the whole situation. I don't know if I can add much to this which hasn't been said before, but I'll definitely look to read the book at some point too. Plus it's good to know what Ed Milliband did before politics:

LOVE Wall-e. love love love. The first bit when he's on earth are some of the best moments I've seen on film in recent times tbh. I know it's late but this is so true. Definitely. I only thought about the similarities the morning after I watched it, but to what extent - if at all - do you think that bit of the film was influenced by Wallace and Gromit's "A Grand Day Out"?
