End of year best albums list.

I'm not compiling nothing, that's Barny's job.

However, anybody who posts their end of year lists before December the 15th will get THE BAD AIDS.

I'm also going to include a list of my top however many albums that I heard for the first time this year.

I can feel a massive BDI victory happening here.

What are we talking, top 20? 25? 30? 50?

I think its actually autistic to count someones top 50, really after the top 5 I dont think many people are taking care of the order are they?

whatever you want. Such a powerful time of year. 2010 having the end of year list + decade lisr was the greatest moment of my life, such excitement.

I was gonna say, I would do the list if I was only counting top 10's.

Arsed either way whats counted and what not, I just like seeing peoples thoughts and downloading some records that I've not heard from people who's tastes I dig & stuff.

tell you what, I'll offer to compile it, anyone can post a list as long as they like, but I'll count and award points (5,4,3,2,1) to everyones top 5 only.

also. only people who've posted at least once in this section prior to TODAY are eligible. avoids ballot stuffing for obvious reasons.

I'm not down with this. I like a nice long list that eventually dwindles into some real shit albums at the back.

My method is counting 15/20/25 albums from each one, as longer ones cause adulteration as we only collect like 7 lists. But I think I'll post a top 50 or so, and welcome longer lists for diversity's sake.

I don't think there's any need to go beyond a top 25 really. Not that will stop JP posting a top 234, and claiming 'I think it's been a really great year' or Rod posting a top 6 including 3 Bluetones bootlegs, and adding 'been really busy, not had time to listen to much else'. It's the same every year.

I was actually thinking the other day that I've listened to a power of albums this year, easily double that of last year. My top 20 is going to cause some serious damage. Spoiler: Dwayne's album ain't gonna make it.

It's been a pretty damn good year. I'm looking forward to Dec 15th.

You hardly have 50 fantastic albums in a decade.

But guess it depends on the critera. Doesn't necessarily mean fantastic albums throughout. Any decent album can make it I suppose.

Yeah, I'll put all the albums I have listened to enough times to have a judgement or deserve a mention, either positive or negative.
