I'm well ready for this year's, as I decided in January to start noting down in Word all my favourite telly, films and records through the year, rather than having a mad, rushed think in the last month It's slightly sad, yes, but handy  Still gotta write thoughts an that, mind. And order them!!!1111 It's doing my head in atm, with a new lady and this job i barely have any time for THE REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF like telling relative strangers on the internet what i thought of stuff  I've had my Halloween Film Fest blog post near finished for ages, but hardly get a minute to finish it off. Was gonna do a mini Christmas Film one too, but that can sod orf now. Need to start these end of year ones, OR THEY'LL NEVER GET DONE GUYZ. Also watched and really enjoyed that Scorsese George Harrison film, and wanna write a bit about that too at some point. Everyone should check that oot, anyway |

On the recent what.cd freeleach I cribbed about 20 or so 2011 albums so i've got a fair bit of listening to do before formulating some ideas.

I don't think there's any need to go beyond a top 25 really. Not that will stop JP posting a top 234, and claiming 'I think it's been a really great year' or Rod posting a top 6 including 3 Bluetones bootlegs, and adding 'been really busy, not had time to listen to much else'. It's the same every year. Hahahahahahaha  |

anyone who things they can distinguish between their 18th and 24th favourite album of the year is deluded. gotta agree with this. for me 2011 will go down as the year in which i completely lost my desire to rate and rank the things i like. just feels completely arbitrary to me now and not a proper reflection on how i feel about stuff. will still post a list of records i've enjoyed and say a few words about the ones i think are most deserving, but i'd be lying if i tried to put up an ordered top 25 or whatever this year. |

Nice to see you are digging the new Hoobastank too the mex. Not going to blow the lid of the cover and tell you kids how high I have it, but lets just say its right up there with the new Saliva album and the ear tickler Papa Roach dropped. Its going to be tougher than ever to rank them cause I'm debating whether or not I want to leave room for the new Nickelback LP
