Beach House - Blood got 9.1/10 on pitchfork.. well deserved!
Best Coast 6.2.. I think that's being fair.. what a piece of shit.

im bias, because theyre probably my favourite band and i havent heard the record. but i like everything best coast have ever done, so im guessing ill like it, but if its a 'piece of shit" how come you think 6.2 is fair, thats like giving a record 3 stars out of 5 theyre basically saying its average, average aint shit.

The worst thing about the Best Coast record is the lyrics tbh, the rest is polished Best Coast by numbers.
I'm starting to hate Beach House btw.

I really like Best Coast's new album,the lyrics are shit,but the rest got the right kind of polished sound for me.No spectacular highlights really,but it gives me a good,warm feeling and i love her voice!I've been playing it a lot along with La Sera's and Tennis' new albums.
Not quite sure about Beach House though,after few listens I prefer the debut but it could be growing.It sure is dreamy.

best coast & beach house both fill me with hate.
in fact i'm beginning to think that all bands that have two words in their name, totalling 10 characters or less, with the first word of the name beginning with BE-.....are shit (except the beach boys...although i think technically they have three words, totalling 12 characters,and the first word begins TH-)

beach house absolutely bore me to tears. they have something which is good, but they do it so poorly and without character that i find it odd they get the stellar reviews and love they get.

Really? I'm seeing them down here in Oceania (lol) in a month and a half but only really got tickets because I like some of their old stuff and we don't get nearly as many great gigs down here so is a case of take what you can. Didn't hold out much hope for the new stuff but will have to check it out sooner now...
