Cian Ciaran – Outside InI've really been loving this the past week. In a year which it looks like there is going to be no new record from Gruff or SFA the keyboard player comes along with an amazing batch of songs. It's kind along the lines of the more sugary moments from Love Kraft with a real 70's flavour to them. Daf and Guto make contributions too. SFA4EVA The new Vaccines I'd imagine will be enjoyed by anyone who enjoyed the debut. The guitars have been watered down a little but they've attempted some different styles whilst still sounding like themselves.

The Vaccines record is quite decent, yeah, but I can't take Weirdo out of my head.

Love Kraft is such a good album and this is like a really chilled out version of it. Real good stuff. Not bothered with the new Vaccines album yet, not sure I will tbh. The first few songs I heard off it didn't really do much for me. We'll see, maybe I'll give it a go this weekend.

Is that album cover supposed to look like a ball bag?

My ball bag isn't that tight. It's looser with more wrinkles.
I'd imagine thats what my actual ball looks like, though.

Tonight, I will be mostly stretching my ball sack round my ball to make it look like the album cover from Cian Ciaran's album, Outside In But yeah, I know what you mean, man.

Enjoying The Vaccines album quite a lot. Doubt it'll have much staying power and will probably be bored by it in a month or so, but, for now, it's good.

I'm really loving it. I think it's actually better than the debut in that it lacks the anthems but has enough variety about it that I'll want to revisit it every once in a while.

Except it has three Lylas and no horrible midgets on it.

Life Is Good is like Nas' Don't Believe The Truth. Except it has three Lylas and no horrible midgets on it. that's a great shout actually Cheers mate, means a lot. I was proper hyped for the album and it's fair to say a minute in you realise it's not going to be the classic you want it to be with No Introduction's ridiculous ARENA ROCK DRUMS. Locomotive hammers it home as well. Proper beat, flawless flow but the lyrics just aren't there. As soon as you hear "Straight form the dungeons of rap" you know it's fucking proper on Illmatic. Anyway, that's not to say it's not actually good because it is. It's Nas playing it safe but at the same time doing it in the right way. No Introduction and Locomotive are both great, they're just not perfect. There's 6 or 7 absolute bangers on the album. It's a shame about the Swiss Beatz tune though I was fucking bummed that he played that exclusive Radio One festival and the 100 club gig. If he plays a proper gig, the kind of fanboiness shown at Wu Legends will pale into insignificance. I will rap along even louder and sweat even harder. I will top the fella who got a gun out and fired a shot in Brixton Academy celling in the early 2000s simply because he was having a good time. It will be like when Karl touched Morrissey ;D Albums 8/10 by the way.

"lyrics just aren't there"
simply do not agree (and especially on Locomotive, the detail in some of that is brilliant) he's nearly always had some bullshit lyrical concepts about aliens, history of slavery etc etc and i'm glad he's left his high horse in the stable on this album. Definitely in his top 5 albums for me.
