That's quality Johnny. I take it they've been in NI before kicking off their UK tour?

Looks like they have George Harrison's son's band supporting them when I see them in May. That should be...something.

First listen and it doesn't seem very good Dig the first track, sounds like they achieved their goal here, it is not forced. The slow numbers will probably grow on me, although I think some just meander around with no reason. And like someone said the rockier ones are mostly cheap reminiscences of themselves. At least Coldplay Lose Yourself ends it with a high. Well, this might proof they're not infallible and does reinforce their two previous albums, which I always defend.

Ergh first listen to this was a crushing disappointment. Of course I'll stick with it but I really can't see this growing on me much. Agree with Simone about the tracklist being strange.
It felt like an entire record of BRMC filler tracks. One or two I thought were pretty good but nothing ever felt like it'd be good enough to sit alongside their best work.
Not sure I'll bother going Brixton now, I've lost my enthusiasm.

2-3 listens in...it's pretty good, but there's no "rifles" on this one, is there?
And 'rival' is the new beady eye single, right?

allmusic.com gave it a very positive review, on par with their best material. Oddly enough, they picked Teenage Disease as one of the three stand out tracks - cor, I thought that song was ghastly, like Peter had written it using the worst riffs and ideas he discarded from previous sessions. And the lyrics just don't match with my idea of BRMC.
though I thought Fire Walker was brilliant and there must be some good stuff scattered here and there, I'm totally lacking the motivation to sit down and give it a proper listen.
and...errr...am I the only one thinking Peter is going downhill with his really bad punk-pop hooks? It started on Berlin with "suicide's easy/what happened to the revolution" and now "I wanna ride with you" and "I'd rather die/than be living like you"...to me, Peter has always been the dirty soul of the trio, the member who really gave BRMC its aggressive and raw edge, but this stuff doesn't really sound right does it?!

Berlin is a monster of a tune, I thought everyone agreed with that. Teenage Disease is completely useless though.

I adore "berlin", ridiculous lyrics aside.
Kind of like 'hate the taste' on the new one, but I haven't listened to it enough to remember which song is which yet. Lose yourself is a bit awful, though.
