I would no doubt love a record of him shitting into a bucket, but I'm absolutely in love with the Malkmus record, actually took a few listens, but its so much fun. Got quite a souly vibe going on throughout it, especially in sonic tone, really great stuff again.

It is... nice. In the same vein than Mirror Traffic but a little worse I'd say. It will benefit from being released at the early days of the year.

Tom Meighan says of new Kasabian "Speaking about the album in general, Meighan said that he feels it's the best thing the band have ever done. "Its a dangerous, dangerous, dangerous, dangerous drug weve created," he said. "I cant get my head round it. Its rock n roll, its got the rawness and its edgy, but weve gone back to electronica and weve gone beyond leftfield. What else can we do? Its a silver bullet mate. Its fantastic." Yep- cutting edge shit "Horsemeat in the burgers, people commit murders, everyones on bugle, were being watched by Google." www.nme.com/news/kasabian/74896

That new springsteen album is...not good. Tom Morello needs to go away for awhile.

I enjoy it more than Wrecking Ball, but yeah, nothing special.

Broken Bells sounded good on first listen, although I was in hell at that moment so who knows.

It's been a slow start for new records for me so far this year. I've tried out a number of records but not much has really stood out. However I've made a couple of discoveries which I'd recommend checking out. Get the Blessing – Lope and AntilopeA Jazz-Rock LP from the drummer & bass player from Portishead. Very atmospheric, bits of electronica in places. Won't be everyone's thing but I think but I've been getting into much more Jazz influenced rock lately turtleed.net/file/mvzcwidz/LopeAntilope2014.rarCheatahs – Cheatahs Multinational shoegaze band based in TCOTU. They sound like American's doing their best imitation of Ride & MBV with a bit of Teenage Fanclub's first LP thrown in for good measure. I think they've nailed the sound perfectly, there are definitely certain tracks which are much stronger than others but as far as straight up Shoegaze records go it is one of my favourites of recent years. turtleed.net/file/waam2cev/Cheatahs2014.rar

Fuck sake, another GBV album? Is it better than the last few? I tend to just find a couple of tracks I like on their latest ones and the rest is a bit poo.
