Aye, Jason is one of the best performers I've seen. The energy he puts in to each song is intense.

That Leon Bridges album is a delight. Also Wolf Alice leaked, have a soft spot for them as they're an amazing live band but I'm not sure if they'll deliver on record. I like the Leon Bridges album but after a couple of plays it just seems to lack something and I can't put my finger on what. Really loving the Wolf Alice album, though.

Well, Leon is definitely retro but it sounds so so good it makes me melt. Pitchfork put it quite right: it lacks a bit of "emotion", it's just too warm but it's fine for me.
I'm digging Wolf Alice too but can't lose that guilty pleasure feeling and they didn't include one of the tracks I heard on Benicassim last year. Also they're a completely different beast live.

The FFS Franz / Sparks album is amazing. Although I suspect Karl will hate it. When I read this I was a little offended. Why would Chrissie say this about me? I don't mind a bit of Sparks & I've enjoyed Franz the couple of times I've seen them, why would I hate it?!? Then I heard the record & karl hated it Not feeling Leon Bridges. Sure he has a great voice & the tunes are decent enough but he lacks any kind of identity. It just sounds like a watered down Sam Cooke to me. I prefer the likes of Lee Fields & Charles Bradley, much more personality in their music.

Johnny Delusional is one of the singles of the year.

Really looking forward to hearing the new Neil Young protest album about genetically modified foods!
(if only to see if it's somehow worse than his protest album about cars.)

I quite enjoyed it on first listen, seemed much lighter than Cloud Nothings and more consistent than Wavves.

Also, Monsanto (the record) is the bollocks, it's like Neil Young for children. I buy it.

I think I've found my favourite album of the 2015. Don't be scared and click! There's an ex Guided by Voices in the band, if that helps. My favourite song is not on Youtube. It's called Chaos. The album is on spotify.

New Vince Staples album, Sumertime '06, is just a complete fucking banger.
This year has been the best in a long time for music.

There's been so much good stuff and we're only just over half way through. Definitely need to check out that Vince Staples album.
Getting my kicks from a group called Goblin Rebirth at the moment. They're an Italian prog-rock band who are apparently "known for their soundtrack work" (according to Wiki)
Seems they were originally called Goblin, then loads of other names. Band members left and all kinds of nonesense then 4/5 of the band got back together to form Goblin Rebirth.
Anyway, it's pretty good. I'm digging it.

They sound fucking horrendous, Tux. I like the album. Still not as good as The Virginmarys, though.

Goblin's soundtrack work is legendary. Their scores for the likes of profound Rosso, dawn of the dead and suspiria are legendary. Saw Claudio's version of the band last year and it was pretty good.

I used to say You're My Waterloo was one of the best things they've ever done, hope the One Direction producer doesn't destroy it. Heard the single from a live recording and seemed just alrightish, Clash-reggae-lite with a good chorus.
