New Libertines tune is okay, but if it was by a new band rather than one with a reputation no one would give a shit. Seeing them play T in the Park tomorrow night, not expecting much from them. Slightly phased by the fact I saw them play the same festival, minus Pete, a full 11 years ago

It's the year with more debuts I'm enjoying in a while: Leon Bridges, Wolf Alice, Fraser A.Gorman, Soko, Tobias Jesso Jr., FFS, Viet Cong.
Some nice debut singles/eps by Oscar, Spring King and Black Honey too.

Yeah, that caught me by surprise. Hope they give Comedown Machine a 9,1 when it gets rereleased in 27 years.

Neil's new one is the bollocks. Yeah, he is going completely fucking mad but I love it. Sure the lyrics are clumsy in places, but the record is a spontaneous affair & it benefits because of this. The band sound fucking sweet, the kind of loose feel Crazy Horse have at their best & considering the fact this is a protest record it has to be one of the most joyous and upbeat protest records I've heard. SRK clearly gets his morning coffee from starbucks LOL Though looking on RYM, it seems I'm in the minority, it took the power of my mighty 4 star rating to push it a 0.01% above Fork In The Road

Couple of good records I've stumbled across in the past couple of weeks; The Unwed Teenage Mothers - Goodnight GirlsGarage rock/pop. Some great melodies and licks and some real catchy tunes. Michael Rault - Living DaydreamI guess 60's/70's influenced rock; it teeters on glam in some places. First track sounds like T-Rex to me.

Nev Cottee - Strange News From The Sun This bloke was the bass player in proud mary but if you can forgive him he's put out a really good LP in the vain of Richard Hawley with vocals which basically sound exactly like Lee Hazlewood, so basically my sorta thing. ALL GOOD THINGS MUST BLOW AWAY

ALL GOOD THINGS MUST BLOW AWAY Have been actually listening to his 2013 album stations, downloaded the wrong one though the new one sounds decent too.

Just searched him on YouTube and gave the title track of his debut a listen and it's really fucking good. Can he sustain it for a full record? I doubt it but I'll give it a go. You're spot on with the Hazlewood comparison, so he already gets bonus points considering Lee is one of my favourite vocalists ever.
