Just looking at the upcoming release dates on rateyourmusic, Laura Marling, Cribs, Go! Team, Courtney Barnett & Action Bronson all due out in the same week. Not been so excited since Mechanical Wonder & John Squire's solo album were released on the same day!

What's the record like? I'm informed by cult soapbox member JamesDCody that it's pretty good. Sorry to hear about the Autograph, this happens sometimes. When I met Noel at a Stands gig in 2003 I swear he signed my ticket "Mixu Paatelainen". Though the last laugh was on him as he told me that his new song Stop The Clocks was "epic Man", oh how I laughed when I heard it. It's exactly that...pretty good. I loved Jimi's album last year, but what I'd love even more is another goddamned Doves album. No solo crap, no sub sub**, no "we still love each other, we just wanted different things"...get your shit together and make another kingdom of rust! **Well...a little more sub sub might be okay. |

I thought it was fairly meh. Sounds a lot like the Doves, unsurprisingly. Whichever one sings (I can never remember which) sounds exactly like Gaz on this album, which I find odd. |
