if u are voting for High Fidelity over Oldboy is because u havent seen Oldboy.... nuff said Never understood the love for High Fidelity, it's essentially a slightly better than average rom-com with a few indie references thrown in, OMG THEY MENTION THE BETA BAND. I think it's a decent film but seriously come on, take away the little rock n roll quotes & the majority of people that champion it wouldn't even be interested.

Well it's an alright film but not that great indeed. But when you're talking about 'music films' it's always better than Almost Famous, what a pile of crap that is . Oh yeah let's mention our shit band 'being friends with Humble Pie' woohoo that's coohool

High Fidelity is much more than music references and such, although it is a big part of why I like it ("some people never really got over the night their band opened up for Nirvana, I guess I never really got over Charlie"--come on, that's awesome!). But no, for me it's about John Cusack giving his best performance to date, he's absolutely brilliant in it; the other characters are so good as well, love their chemistry. And his little monologues to the camera . Good stuff. Plus it's the one film where Jack Black can play Jack Black and not get silly and repetitive. "A COSBY SWEATAHH!!"
