The only square I can see is your failed attempt of turtleing an image.
How's FLOYD sound on 73 gram transparent glow in the dark limited edition carrot flavoured gatefold vinyl?

Had my first listen, Wasn't too keen. Anyway srk how about that hip upcoming band the Rolling Stones new smash hit LP? Neil Young out end of the week! Grandadrock 4eva Also *the* old man has a 1966 live album from TCOTU out too! Christmas money grabs for everyone! (Although the new stones album is (allegedly) good?)

I heard it once, won't ever hear it again. It is what it is. Old blokes covering some old blues songs convincingly, but I'd rather just listen to howling wolf

I really love the opening six tracks then California kicks in... my god is it fucking AWFUL, also the record never quite recovers its momentum after that. Still, some great stuff on that opening half.

Still, some great stuff on that opening half. Yeah, I know what you mean, California is really bad, but I do really like Baby Boy and Stand Tall after that. Though I agree its definitely a record of two halves and I much prefer the first half.

Haha I don't even mind California. The weird vocal is a bit off putting put I'll be feeling it when I'm kicking back on the beach on Friday, sipping tequila and tanning me tits.

The 'real Albert Hall' gig is shit. It's no wonder the Manchester '66 gig was the one bootlegged a million times. The TCOTU performance is utterly rank in comparison. And I say that as a forum member who loves a Dylan 66 track.

I bought the LP/downloaded the mp3s on the weekend and still haven't listened to it. I downloaded the giant box of every 66 show but even I can't be bothered with it right now. Might throw one of the early ones or the paris one on the ipod one day, but...that's too much information at once, man.
The new stones is...fine. Sounds exactly like you'd expect a "stones at 70 doing blues covers produced by don was" album to sound. Meh.

Two things I'm really liking at the moment are The Life & Death of Scenery by L'Orange and Mangy by Cass McCombs
The first is some great new hip hop in a year of great new hip hop and the second is just lovely. The only other record of Cass McCombs I know is Catacombs, which is also marvellous.

Got big into that Cass McCombs album a few weeks back.
Chance The Rapper is doing it for me right now. Couldn't understand the fuss at first but it's really clicked these last few days.

Surprised at how much I like the new neil young album, especially since his last 5 or 6 have been dreadful (aside from psychedelic pill).

I've read someone defining Childish Gambino as Lando Calrissian meets Prince

I refuse to listen to it in case it upsets my end of year list.
