The Black Angels are fucking incredible and Im incredibly PO'ed I'm missing them next week. Motherfucking new landlord not having my place ready faggot cunt. Enjoy it dude. Alex Maas is a killer vocalist and Christian can play the fuck out of a geetar.

the Black Angels were HUGE
Best show i've seen this year along with The Cribs and Miike Snow.
It was just epic, loud as fuck, tunes just like on the album... I thought it was fantastic.
I also walked right by Stephanie Bailey (the drummer) and she looked sexy tbh, and she's crazy small too, I'm barely 6 feet and I towered over her. Anyway, the show was great!
8.5/10 Love that band.

Yea, shes only 5'1, but shes a good drummer. Its surprising how well she can play them considering. Ive never found her attractive in the slightest tho haha.

Carl Barat @ The Scala.
On one hand we got the hits which was good.
On the other hand the crowd was awful and Carl looked completely fucked. His eyes where in the back of his head. It didn't make for pretty watching tbh. I probably wouldn't bother with him again unless it was a small acoustic thing or a festival gig tbh.
I left the pit and watched the rest up the back with a Morrissey look a like. He had the quiff and big overcoat from the 80's. Utter don.

They finished their last song but it didn't seem like a last song so there was an air of indifference rather than a polite "thank you for entertaining us" type applause. I filled the space with boos and fuck offs before one of em announced that was it. I continued with the heckling.
It's sort of a running traidition between Karl and I.

Dandy Warhols
was a good show. 7.5/10
I don't know a lot of the newer stuff but they whipped out all the classics (except for Mohammed, which is a personal fave) but it was a lot of fun.
Courtneys voice wasn't bad (first show of the tour)
Boy Better was probably the best tune. I enjoyed it leek!

When I was in Atlanta I won tickets to a Dandy Warhols gig, so I went and walked out after like 30 minutes  . (It was really fucking bad) Oh yeah, last night I saw Caribou, I didn't know any of the songs really, but it was a tight gig and the sound was amazing. The venue = a strip club  . There were poles on the stage and colorful neon lights and everything . 8/10 |
