Yeah, and that post would've been ten times better if you'd made it in another thread using entirely different words.

The BHN b-sides are fucking ace, TBH. Except, as Mahoney says, that awful cover of Heroes.
Looking forward to this rerelease. I've listened to BHN more than any other Oasis album these past couple of years. I mean I don't listen to THE BOYS nearly as much as I used to, but if I'm looking for 5 mins of classic LG I'll choose I HOPE, I THINK, I KNOW over Definitely Maybe every time.

Disagree, it's loud and proud. That and Cum On Feel The Noize seem to be the forgotten covers when they're actually my two favourites.

The bsides are great, including Heroes. The original is still better, but like Sully says there's a loud power that is welcome. Cum On.. is still the one obvs.

I know it was played at Maine Road but compared to My Generation and I Am The Walrus which seem to be the famous two covers it's massively underrated.
So many happy memories attached to that song. Whenever me and my mates used to fire up Pro Evo to guide Oyster Stars to victory, we always played that tune first - it was our national anthem sang through the terraces of my speakers. Also, at FC, we used to sing "come on cheer the boys" - a bit shoddy perhaps but I swear I can hear that line sang by that same group of hammered friends at the match towards the end. The laughing and joking at the end is also fitting. To me it'll always be the one definitive song about 'mates'. The end.

The BHN b-sides are fucking ace, TBH. Except, as Mahoney says, that awful cover of Heroes. The Fame and Flashbax are two of the worst songs Oasis ever recorded. Anyone bigging up Noel's version of Heroes needs a slap; if you want a Be Here Now-era cover, it's all about Street Fighting Man. FUCKING CUNTING CABLES EVERYWHERE!

I find The Fame hillarious. The beginning of Noel's self-pitying era. But TBH if you mention BHN bsides, we all know we're talking about the majesty of MY SISTER LOVER

Haven't listened to these b-sides in years but been giving them a re-listen over the last few days. The Stand By Me b-sides piss on all the others, but still let down by shitty production and mixing (with the exception of Going Nowhere which sounds great). My Sister Lover was always an underrated favourite of mine, Alan White's lovely skipping drum pattern is a joy, but the drums are mixed so badly. Also, just listen to the snare on (I Got) The Fever, it sounds terrible, like it was recorded in a fucking biscuit tin, and it's jarringly out of tune. If anything, would love to have seen Dwayne 're-think' those b-sides, which would obviously have never happened.

I'd rather a song like My Sister Lover with flaws than the boring production of Let There Be Love. FLAWS FOREVER. Wouldn't change anything about it, especially that monstrous solo.
Also, Going Nowhere would have been a realistic replacement for Magic Pie on the album. As much as I love Stay Young, it wouldn't have fitted straight after My Big Mouth, but Going Nowhere would have been perfect.

You listen to BHN b-sides and its difficult to square that the same band released SOTSOG a little over two years later. Obviously Noel gave up the gak and Bonehead quit in between times, but Oasis never sounded as fun again. They definitely lost a spark that was never rekindled.

That makes me think that the Mustique demos are definitely sang by Noel, right?
