I hate the way Noel's promoting the reissue and the lack of real unreleased material. "We should have done it shorter / later / let somebody else mix it". No, idiot, no, it's a fantastic album as it is and the last time you showed some spark and joie de vivre on your songs.
Get on the rollercoaster The fair's in town today You've gotta be Bad enough to beat the brave
I always thought the second line was: A thousand times a day
This is going to take some time to adjust to...
Yeah, fairs in town. Dunno how you've heard anything else
I always thought he sang 'today' a bit weird given how clean the rest of the vocals are, anyone else hear it? Almost like he was wanting to sing 'cagoule' instead.

...Be Here Now gave Oasis the sound you always sensed they were aiming for. Picture Liam on stage, chest out, hands in pockets, head tipped back to open the throat as he sings into the sky, collar of his designer rainwear turned up, and this is the squall of noise that finally means he sounds as well as looks the part. It's less like listening to a band, more like experiencing an elemental force.
Doesn't do anything as an album for me now but still contains some classics. Fade In-Out is still amazing and the only song that sounds like it was actually worked on in the studio. Which wasn't the point of the album, so not a bad thing. My Big Mouth is the other gem and DYKWIM and IHITIK are also wank-worthy.
The ballads are shit. Don't Go Away is salvaged by Liam's vocals but Stand By Me is painful. I still love the acoustic version by the pool but the recorded version suffers.
All in all - not a patch on the album that followed

Going by the demo, it wasn't worked on at all, apart from Liam adding a scream before the breakdown. It's otherwise identical.
Haven't heard the demo but if that's the case, the demo must have been worked on.
How can you think it wasn't? There's some nice strange shit going on so hardly like they just plugged in the guitars; I love the keys at the end, the weird panting-thing and echo on the scream (which Noel now hates lolz). No doubt Noel will have you believe they did recorded it inside an hour but not a chance. Definitely the most timeless tune on the album, it would even have fitted Giants tbf.

This is the worst thing posted on the forum in 2017. Has living in that caravan melted your brain?
