Who are Terry btw? I've never heard of them. I'm trying to decide if it's the best band name or the worst band name ever. They're a sort of lo-fi garage pop band fom Australia, just released their second album: Both albums are short, sharp and great fun.

really enjoying this debut lp from great grandpa that i found on exy. simple grungey pop songs with 90s guitars and female vox - a sound i'm a complete sucker for. nothing extraordinary but i'm completely hooked - gone straight into my favourites of the year.

Can't say I've been massively impressed by any of the three new tunes from The War on Drugs. I've loved their last two albums but the new stuff and more motorik moments, but new stuff is verging into stadium territory. Plus they now seem to have 94 members, which is a bit too Springsteen for my liking.

Springsteen gets to everyone eventually! He's the best youll ever see live.
Terry are really solid, I saw them play last year and have the first record signed by all 4 members (GET IN)and they're staples on my radio show, first two singles off the newie especially 'take me to the city" are quality. Bit of a super group really, Al Mountfort is from dick diver and 100 other bands and all other members are tied in with excellent aussie acts like school of radiant living or uv race.

You'll be having steak tartare for breakfast before I go to a Springsteen stadium show! Enjoying bits of the new Public Service Broadcasting album but I think they've stretched the idea too far this time. The concept album idea worked with Race for Space because it's naturally exciting and there was a lot of tension, but this one just gets a bit mawkish towards the end. Plus the idea of three middle class TCOTU types doing a full LP about Welsh mining communities is a bit naff.

I'm really liking the new Tyler the Creator album after a couple of listens, not really bothered with much of his stuff since Goblin, which I was disappointed with following the initial hype, but I thought the lead up singles to this were really good, especially '911' and the album has lived up to those singles. I find it really refreshing, I hate to say 'mature', but it does feel like a more assured piece of work from him, maybe a little less scattershot and a more focused and cohesive piece of art.

Enjoying Tyler The Creator & Dizzee a lot. Slow Your Roll from the Dizzee album is niiiiice.
Elsewhere, been listening to Waxhatatchee quite bit. The front end of the album is stronger but the whole thing is fantastic.

Fans of parquet courts should check out Rips self titled record. Produced by a member of said band & I'm pretty sure he sings on a few numbers too. Only heard it for the first time this morning but instantly loved it. www.fauxdiscx.com/news/2017/4/10/rips-st
