Having my first proper to listen to LCD Soundsystem and absolutely loving it. Seems a bit less dancey than the other albums but still maintains everything that makes LCD Soundsystem. it's fucking great. he harnesses emotions so well. i was kind of disappointed that nothing on it surprised, but the quality of it won through.

I'm loving the new Mogwai now. Their best for quite a few years I'd say.

The run of How do You Sleep? / Tonite / Call The Police is just phenomenal. Nothing I've heard so far from this year can even come close to American Dream. I don't know if it'll quite end up on the level of Sound Of Silver, but as it continues to sound better with each listen I wouldn't rule it out.

Fucking hell, how do you sleep? is the greatest thing I've ever heard Yeah, the whole thing is great. It's so brilliantly paced, that song is written about Tim Goldsworthy, pretty scathing. Can't recommend the book 'Meet Me In the Bathroom' by Lizzy Goodman, enough. Obviously loads about The Strokes, YYY's and Interpol, but the DFA/LCD story was golden, so many great characters. Get it read.

This is a great little record: Robert Sotelo - Cusp It's sort of lo-fi psych-pop record, he records everything himself, I think he's mid 30's and a social worker. Definite solo Syd Barrrett vibes and a bit of Velvet Underground in there, even got a slightly poppier Elliott Smith feel out of it. Great lyrics and packed full of melody. Out on Upset the Rhythm who I think have put some great records out recently (Terry, Rat Columns..) upsettherhythm.bigcartel.com/product/robert-sotelo-cusp-pre-order

Sounds cool I'll give that a go. Not heard of Rat Columns either, what worth a go? Any band deemed worthy to share a label with the mighty TERRY must be awesome.

Neon Waltz released their debut LP, Strange Hymns, a couple of weeks back. I've mentioned them a few times on here in recent years and firmly believe a lot of you would be big fans. Best debut I've heard this year. Give it a try, lads.

After 3 or 4 listens, I'm really enjoying the new National album. Turtleneck is probably my favourite from it right now.

That's my favourite one too, also I guess will be one of the hated by the regular National fan. The record is decent but not brilliant for me.

I like it, it has a much needed modern sheen but it's just so BRMC. It's stuck in my head too. We'll see.

That is quite good. BRMC by numbers, but BRMC by numbers is always solid.
