Of the very recent releases I'm liking Mount Kimbie, Susanne Sundfør, Alvvays and The National
Particularly the Mount Kimbie and Susanne Sundfør, which will both be troubling my top ten at the end of the year. Only given the National a couple of listens and it always takes at least five before it properly sinks in. the Alvvays record is nice but I'll get bored of it very quickly.

Giving the new Superfood album a try. The first track, Where's The Base Amp?, I feel like I should probably hate it but it's fucking great.

Neon Waltz released their debut LP, Strange Hymns, a couple of weeks back. I've mentioned them a few times on here in recent years and firmly believe a lot of you would be big fans. Best debut I've heard this year. Give it a try, lads. I checked this out thanks to this recommendation and have been banging this album all week. Heavy Heartless is a tuuuuuuune.

Will give Neon Waltz a listen, but if bands could be judged by their names, they're gonna be horrendously shit.
If they haven't got enough imagination to up with something better than 'Neon Waltz' what fucking chance has their songwriting got.?
Hope they're the exception.

Looks like it should have come out in 1999. Only got through the first song so far. Sorry Chrissie, I will give the whole thing a go, promise!

Sounds like I've won a few converts! Can't wait for it to make Karl's top 20 albums of the year in December ('Chrissie was right...')

Can't believe nobody is talking about HOW GOOD that Horrors album is. It's absolutely rammed with tune after tune after tune.
