Can't believe nobody is talking about HOW GOOD that Horrors album is. It's absolutely rammed with tune after tune after tune. Tux, I found it unrelentingly dull, I only made it through about 6 songs. Its absolutely compressed to death, no dynamics at all.

Yep it sounded like sub-par Gary Newman, dunno why everyone is raving about it.

Same, they got back that spark. Still don't know how much I love it but surely a lot.

I'm also enjoying that Kamasi EP, much shorter and lighter than The Epic, which was simply too much for me and I still have it pending.

Re: The Horrors, I absolutely love it and have no real issues with the dynamism of it.
Not many big hitters left for the year for me. I think once I've heard the BRMC (assuming that's this year?) Liam & Noel albums I'll start compiling my end of year list.

BRMC is January. I was having the opposite thought to you though Tux, still loads of big hitters to come this year for me.

Aye there's a few there actually:
beck courtney barnett and kurt vile st vincent morrissey
Couldn't give a fuck about this Weezer release; the singles from it have been truly horrible. And also Stereophonics can get to fuck. That latest single they have (Caught By The Wind) is dreadful.

The OCS is the only thing left this year i'm excited about. Kurt & Courtney will probably be worth a listen but hardly exciting.

And the Horrors record- had a couple of listens. I'm pretty middling on it- don't hate it. It's got some nice tunes, don't mind the tight, focused production and will probably give it another listen.
