I'm really loving the new Father John Misty songs released so far, one of my most anticipated albums of the year.

Nice one mate, had already grabbed one. Should be good. It's a tiny venue, basically the back room of a pub.

Really enjoying the new Grandaddy album. It sounds, well like Grandaddy, they never really seem to change. I'm surprised how much it has grown on me with repeated listens considering how simple it is.
Hills - Uncollected Sounds, Swedish heavy psych-rock jam-band with some krautrock influences, good stuff. Moon Duo's latest is also pretty good if you like stuff like Neu!/Suicide meets psych.
Cate Le Bon has a new 4-track EP from the sessions from last years album that's worth a listen.
Also enjoyed Loyle Carner's record on 1st listen, UK hip hop that'll likely appeal to anyone who enjoyed Kate Temptest's latest.
Mick Harvey has his 3rd record of Serge Gainsbourg translations out, really loved the last one but this time around it isn't doing it for me.

Afraid I think the Loyle Carner record is pretty awful.
Bland, obvious production, bang average flow, nothing at all to say (I think of the five or six tracks I bothered with two or three were about texts from birds).
Properly staggered by the press attention it's getting.

If anybody wants to try something different, you can preview the most interesting record happening in Spain right now: cultura.elpais.com/cultura/2017/02/09/actualidad/1486638930_577876.htmlExquirla are Toundra (instrumental post-punk) and El Niño de Elche (who's trying to move flamenco into new fields). Not sure I like it myself that much, but the result is one of those once in a lifetime mixes.

Anyone checked out the Cabbage album? Been really enjoying it these last couple of days. Necroflat In The Palace is probably my favourite off the album but it's full of gems.
They seem like a more guitar-heavy Fat White Family to me which is no bad thing.

Only heard it once Tux, I'm not sure what I think. The opening track reminded me of ramshackle early BSP but the second half of the record sounded a bit like rubbish Britpop at times. I'll give it a few more goes though, I'd imagine they'll be pretty big, sort of thing I'd have lapped up 10 years ago. Shit name & shit artwork though!
