I have a distinct memory of getting all of the be here now off napster back in late 99, and being blown away by some of them. But flashbax always left me cold.

Lino, are you gonna file all the songs beginning with 'The' under T? What sort of monster are you? Sure am. I don't consider it "Turning, The", or "Importance of being idle, The". There are only... 12 of them. Force of NatureFiller for Heathen Chemistry after having been recorded for the Love Honour and Obey film, it's Noel in yelling mode, over a relatively sparse, swampy musical arrangement, speaking of someone stealing all his cash and smoking all his stash. He was asked in a subsequent interview if it as about his newly ex-wife; he denied it as the track was written long before then (but The Hindu Times demo is a different story). 5/10. You?

Force of Nature is 0/10 all day. It's a complete embarrassment.
YET YOU CONSIDER IT TO BE BETTER THAN COLUMBIA.

Your opinion is noted.
I originally had FON as 6/10, but changed it at the last minute. Should it be a 4/10 instead? Having thought about it - No. It's not something I'd go out of my way to listen to, but I'm certain I've let it play through to completion more times than I have with Columbia.
Make no mistake, FON is a weak track from the weakest Oasis album - but there are at least 3 songs as bad or worse on HC.

Force Of Nature was acceptable as a rough demo with a bunch of other tunes that subsequently made the cut ahead of it. But then, when it features as the 2nd track on a future album without any adaptation and with 4 songwriters supposedly on the ball, it's time to accept the band was wretched beyond repair. 9/10.

Fuckin' in the Bushes
Amazing instrumental opener, sounding a bit Chemical Brothers, a bit Fatboy Slim, leaning heavily on Noel's work with UNKLE the previous year - this is a classic and the third last 10/10 from me in chronological order. It might be the best Oasis album opener, and is certainly the best concert intro music; I was ecstatic when Liam emerged to this when I saw him in January. I wish there were a version without the spoken word samples though - is there one? 10/10.
Y'alls?

Brilliant. I've said it before and I'll say it again - the first three tracks from Giants are better than the first three tracks from Definitely Maybe. Back of the net.

Full On
B-side to Sunday Morning Call, pretty throwaway number with Noel on vocals (yelling again). Repeated lyrics once again, it has organ and that stabbing, high-pitched piano strike (like the Stooges' I wanna be your dog) throughout, and a dirty guitar riff. "But no-one knows why there's a spirit in the sky that they've escaped for so long. He will understand, while I take him by the hand that life's time tunnel is long" - not sure what that's all about, and I have a hard time fitting those lyrics into the start of that vocal line. 6/10.
And you?

Imagine having the ego to interpolate a drum loop from such a dark and glorious achievement of a song in Nightclubbing, and then writing Force of Nature on top of it. Atrocious. 0.5/10

Force of Nature is pure fucking dirge. Probably the worst Oasis song of all time. I'd rather listen to Magic Pie twice than Force of Nature once.

I like Full On, it reminds me of Neil Young doing White Stripes doing time for armed robbery (#nme). Sweet little guitar solo as well. Far better listening than the dire rockers than followed in years ahead.

Here to register my hatred of Force Of Nature again. Seconded as the worst Oasis song ever.
Full On could have passed muster with Liam on vocals, but as it is, it's flimsy inconsequential piffle
4/10

Fuckin' In The Bushes
Just re-listening to remind myself if it has faded with time (which I really expected) and actually no fuck you, it's got me proper hyped.
I'm all for it.
10/10

Wonderwall - never really liked this song, always thought it was very bland and completely undeserving of it's world wide success.

You can't knock LG's ever so slightly off key vocal on Wonderwall. One of the all time greats. Alan White earns a gold star as well.

Force of Nature is pure fucking dirge. Probably the worst Oasis song of all time. I'd rather listen to Magic Pie twice than Force of Nature once. Wow, that's emphatic. For me and so far the worst remains High Horse. I think I started skipping it by the second time I listened to the CD. Gas Panic!
I know I'll be out of step on this one - many people's highlight from SOTSOG, released as a single from the live Familiar to Millions CD/DVD/etc. but I don't really care for it. It ends well (the instrumental breakdown is glorious), but man that title is horrible. Named after a bar in Japan, it evokes a stomach bug rather than a drug fuelled panic attack. The POV changes throughout the song too, annoyingly - 6/10. And you all?
