it was her verses on this Gorillaz track live (in Margate at their festival) that caught the eye. She's some MC

The Little Simz record is fucking marvellous. So concide, banger after banger.
Enjoyed the new Solange, it's definitely gonna be a grower, just from the way it's condtructed, there are no real songs! It feels like a little puzzle, with loads of little sections making up the full picture.
It feels like the natural evolutionary step from A Seat at the Table.

Peeled myself away from Guided By Voices to checkout Little Simz, and yeah, really fucking good. Also looking forward to giving Solange a go.

Deffo JP, I love it.
First impression of Solange was 45 minutes of well produced half baked ideas & interludes. I'll give it a good go though

I think my new favourite band might be Gently Tender. Who, from what I can work out have emerged from the ashes of Palma Violets, who's name I remember but music I don't.
They've released 4 singles of a kind of psychedelic, woozy pop music. And I love all of them.
I'm on my phone so can't post links properly, but I promise you they're worth looking up. All 4 singles on spotify.

Really enjoying Rustin Man's album "Drift Code". It's Paul Webb's (bass player from Talk Talk) new record. He sounds really similar to late era Bowie & a few of the numbers sound like they could be on Black Star. Not sure if I love the entire thing, but there's some special moments on there.
Stella Donnelly's record has grown on me with each listen, Austalian indie-pop. Music is pleasant but its her storytelling that really makes it stand out.
Another record that continues to grow on me is Hand Habits, miserable indie type thing. Took a few listens but it is really starting to reveal itself to be a solid record.
& the new jonestown record sounds like classic era jonestown! Not sure how much I care at this point but it's good! The record I'd have killed for 10 years ago. Never did get around to the one from last year.
