Don't do it rolls! I tried to have a listen and it sounded bunk. Stick to what you know my god. Get The Lemonheads going and put some honey in your tea. great advice tbh!

The new teenage fanclub is superb. Nothing out of the ordinary, but still...just beautiful.

I don't listen to enough Electronic music, but every now and then an album just blows me away.
The new one by Hannah Peel (Fir Wave) is very very beautiful. I always thought she was a folk artist.

new dj format is excellent. a darker vibe than his previous stuff. anyone who enjoyed the madlib album from earlier in the year should check this out too as it's a similar vein.

I've not bothered with the last couple of Coral albums, but the new'un is rather great. Enjoying it a lot. I do wish they'd return to their weirder/eclectic sounds of the debut but I'm finding it hard to fault the new record. It's a lovely collection of pop songs. I think it helps I've barely listened to them for a good 10 years (minus the debut). James Skelly knows how to write a great hook, but each Coral record became slightly more stale than the last (didn't even bother with the last one). So it could be it feels like welcoming back an old friend, but for a double record this really feels like a complete piece. Just glad to be enjoying something they've released again, Roots & Echoes was the last one I thought was strong. Butterfly House was where I started to find the formula stale & the two after that were really poor.

Could listen to him all day.

Squid sounded pretty damn good on first listen.
Didn't care at all for Billy Nomates album last year but the latest EP is pretty damn good. Gonna give Tony Allen's new record a go, has a ton of guest spots on there, hopefully it's a good send off.

I'm in the minority here in that I actually listened to the last Coral album. I really liked it and for me it was that which represented their return to form after 3 not so good releases.
New one has grown on me massively. Thought it was a bit too pleasant on first listen but I've found it proper addictive and it's all I want to listen to. Take me back to the island!

I think the last Coral record I really really enjoyed was Invisible Invasion. That was the last one where you could single out some of the songs and really get excited because they were so original (that album had four or five strong tracks that still sound brilliant to this day). Roots & Echoes was okay but personally that's where their eclecticism plummeted. I feel that's where they started to sound as faceless as those faceless 60s bands they idolised. I keep listening to every new single and it sounds just like a version of some other tune they had already released. I guess that's how Oasis sounded to non-mad4it back in the 90s?! I haven't heard the new one though, I'll give it a try.
