2021 albums

What do you think of the new Weezer album, barny? I've been enjoying it a lot. Definitely better Pacific Daydream and Black. Probably not as good as EWBAITE or White. Hard to rank it against OK Human because there is such a big difference in the sound.

I much prefer Ok Human but this one is decent anyway. I'd say the production could be much better but definitely more listenable than Pacific and Black.

By the way, the new Go! Team songs are prototypical which wouldn't be an issue if they didn't sound soooo flat? I read the guy's had hearing problems and I feel the instrumentals are lost in the background, making the songs less livelier than they should...

Everytime I try and give a new Weezer record a spin I get sad and end up putting on Blue or Pinkerton (and well somes the time Green album or Maladroit)

it's probably a soundtrack to him taking a shit in the woods

Loving the new black keys album.

I think I like the new weller. Need to digest it a bit, but it sounds solid at the least.

I was pumped for it after loving Glad Times and Shades of Blue but there's a few too many duds for my liking. His worst album in quite some time for me but still a decent listen.

I haven't heard a Van Morrison album since 1972, but read some really AWFUL stuff about his new record Latest Record Project: Volume 1.
Looks like it's really controversial and weird and nobody liked it, which kinda reminds me of the reception for Lulu by Lou Reed and Metallica...

i take it all back about weller. just listened to fat pop again and liked it a lot more.

testify still sounds cheesey as fuck when done by an old white man and failed just makes me want to burst into needle and the damaged done. some really strong songs too though with in better times and glad times being my standouts.

Gruff Rhys didn't quite hit the spot on first listen but just spun the vinyl and it sounds wonderful. Really love that last song.

In Better Times is a really great song.

Didn't realise Black Midi had sneaked out Cavalcade last night until chatting with Kev.

On first listen it's phenomenal. Really quite different to Schlagenheim and (on first listen) more penetrable. The quieter tracks (Marlene Dietrich, Diamond Stuff and Ascending Forth) are beautiful. Big jazz vibes this time round.

Hearing Grizzly Bear in there too.

Small Black released an album in 2021. They got a few tunes.
