musically this is interesting, very upbeat, even the slow tunes sound good, i'm outta time-esque, but good. and instrumental version would clearly show that these guys are good musicians.
too bad the singer FUCKS IT UP with his whiny, terrible vocals. sorry but if you though that "keep the dream alive" had shocking vocals, this is a fucking tragedy.

ya ok NO.1 NOEL FAN Themis has always been a massive Liam fan in respect to him singing Noel's songs. He's not much into Beady Eye thus far and I dont see why its a big deal. People are flipping out over an eh first song and these clips are underwhelming. I prefer to wait and see what the album is in full, but anyone expecting some sort of renaissance of rock and roll are going to be disappointed. Its the return of Liam and I'll take that and go see him when they inevitably tour here. Theres 3-4 clips that sound good. The rest is derivative and exactly what shouldve been expected. Derivative can still be good, but this "It sounds nothing like Oasis" stuff is off. Its going to be an album chock full of Hung In A Bad Place and The Quiet Ones with a few strong tracks. Just like the last 4 Oasis albums.

First Impressions: Four Letter Word - really like it, great rocking opening track, reminds me off Oasis circa Be Here Now Millionaire - nice melody.good album track The Roller - sounds very Lennonesque, nothing wrong with that though, i love it. Beatles & Stones - nice guitar and drumming, filler though. Wind Up Dream- does the very start remind anybody else of "In The Street"(70's show theme song) by Big Star ?! Anyway Not really liking this one. For Anyone- incredible vocal, dont think Liam has sounded this sweet since married with children. great summery feel to this one Kill For a Dream- my fav lyric so far, "Its a Beautiful world, when you know who you are" nice song as well. SOTEOTN - nice little rocker, gonna sound massive live, not liking the effects on Liam's vocal though. Wigwam - not digging the vocal, promising though. Three Ring Circus- great tune, great vocal and instrumentation. The Beat Goes on - love the melody, judging by the lyrics this is a Liam tune, "singing a song, ya you know the one, are you singing along"! The Morning Son - liking this one, very sparse, sounds like it could build into something much bigger, lovely vocal.

Its going to be an album chock full of Hung In A Bad Place and The Quiet Ones with a few strong tracks. Just like the last 4 Oasis albums. Agreed with that first part, that's what most of us expected. But from the clips it sounds really a bit under the quality of the last 4 Oasis records. At least those had a unique production (even HC) you could spot from the first note. This sounds like it's gonna sound like many many many other bands. The drums, the guitars, they dont sound unique to me. I dont think the songs will be that bad, but people were right saying Lillywhite was a bad choice. He U2ed them.

Yeah because Dave Sardy is the world's most original producer Well i only know his work with Jet and Oasis, and between the two, there's clearly a gap in uniqueness.

Yeah because Dave Sardy is the world's most original producer Well i only know his work with Jet and Oasis, and between the two, there's clearly a gap in uniqueness. Yeah, one has guitars to ten and the other has guitars to 11. His production added literally nothing to the Oasis formula.

These sound really shit, too clean and polished, shit words and big obvious structures and arrangements.
Granted this all from a load of 30 second clips, but it just sounds so tame, hope the full versions come alive a bit.

'for anyone' sounds shit The guitars don't sound loud enough, it all seems a bit flat don't it. maybe 192 mp3s dont help, liam sounds good but it needs a more raw live feel to most these tracks. Roller sounds the nuts tbh. beat goes on singing a song sing along PROPER overall seems too many plodders, i wanted more rock n roll

aye im feeling a bit indifferent to them too, was expecting a bit more rocky to be honest, someone in the studio should have given Liam a nudge and said "errr...you've heard Instant Karma right?"
