Dunno why anyone was expecting anything other than 'meh' to be honest....none of these 3 have any history of good songwriting on a consistent basis, pre oasis or during oasis. Gem's basically a lottery winner, Andy I always get the feeling seems embarrassed by oasis/beady eye, but hey it pays the bills and it's better than obscurity and Liam can't write a second verse....at at the ages of 40+ why would they suddenly hit a rich vein of form. I bet king Noel is wetting himself listening to these and a witty comments coming any day.
Actually I haven't listened to these clips! Any good?!

I wasn't expecting great tunes or even half decent lyrics but I thought the tunes might have a bit of attitude about them. If they made a record of put your money where your mouth is/I Can See A Liar/Eyeball Ticklers I'd be over the moon.

Gem's basically a lottery winner well laughed at that FFS Just about to listen to these, but bit gutted to read the reactions so far. I too was hoping for a really uptempo, rocky record, in the vein of Bring The Light, so my BDI-shaped heart has sunk a little, i must admit Still, what do these add up to really, 6/7 minutes of a record? So i wouldn't write it off just yet I'll be back in 6/7 minutes to probably write it off

it just seems to tame, had a few more listens since and i think it'll be a enjoyable record in parts, but i'd of loved some really raw powerful rocky tracks.
my expectations have dropped a touch for the record, which could prove to be a good thing by the time i hear it!

Erm yeah, it is all a bit mid-paced isn't it Millionaire sounds a bit Stone Roses For Anyone sounds a bit Byrds S O T Edge Of Noise could be a real good 'un Is Man Of Misery gonna be a b-side or bonus track, then? Quite like that one, me The Beat Goes On sounds well Eurovision. BOOM.

Its not so much that they're not up tempo rockers, its just the production is so flat, there is absolutely nothing interesting going on at all, sounds like they just cleanly closed mic'd everything and levelled them out, tbf, at least with Bring The Light the production is a tad rawer, these just 'sound' really flim-flam

Yeah, gotta agree Kev. I also agree with the fella who said it sounds very DBTT era (i liked that record, i should add).
It's quite disheartening to find Bring The Light is the most exciting sounding track so far too, by quite a way, cos these clips mostly all sound like real plodders compared to the fun and energy of that.
Still, will look forward to hearing the full record soon

Surely there's got to be
A) some sort of eastern 'spiritual' song B) a song with the tomorow never knows drums

ya ok NO.1 NOEL FAN Themis has always been a massive Liam fan in respect to him singing Noel's songs. He's not much into Beady Eye thus far and I dont see why its a big deal. People are flipping out over an eh first song and these clips are underwhelming. I prefer to wait and see what the album is in full, but anyone expecting some sort of renaissance of rock and roll are going to be disappointed. Its the return of Liam and I'll take that and go see him when they inevitably tour here. Theres 3-4 clips that sound good. The rest is derivative and exactly what shouldve been expected. Derivative can still be good, but this "It sounds nothing like Oasis" stuff is off. Its going to be an album chock full of Hung In A Bad Place and The Quiet Ones with a few strong tracks. Just like the last 4 Oasis albums. i SMELL BULLSHIT

I'll try and get an advance copy of the record tomorrow. Stay TUNED.
Second listen of the clips today: much better i gotta say. There's gonna be a few stinker, but overall, i think we'll get a strong 10 tracks record. Faith.

Alright just listened to Millionaire and The Roller. I don't think we are getting the chorus for Millionaire. If that is a verse then that is a bad fucking ass verse and it may be the best tune out of them. I reckon it may well be the chorus to The Roller though, but there is a chance it was a bridge. Please let it be the bridge cos otherwise that song is shot. edit: fuck me they are both prolly choruses

Only listened once, and they don't sound too bad, a few where I was like "hmmm". But quite honestly, anything new with Liam on vocals excites me
