I thought this might cause some tasty debating. I gave 'The Wall' a listen for the first time in 5 maybe 6 years yesterday to see if my opinion has changed as certain Floyd stuff I am so/so with now but fuck me it really is one of the biggest piles of shit I've ever heard. It just made me angry the longer it went on.
Heard Jedwood's record round my mate Flacko's as Balldog thought it would be funny to buy it for him for Christmas They even censored out the word Porno in Fight For Your Right To Party.
10: Jesus Jones - Doubt (1991)
The most dated record I've ever heard
09: AC/DC - Highway to Hell (1979)
Cannot fucking stand AC/DC & I have a soft spot for alot of classic rock/hair rock/soft rock/cheese but they just always sound so incredibly shit to me.
08: The Rolling Stones - Voodoo Lounge (1994] -
fucking embarrassment of a record.
07: Jeronimo - Jeronimo (1971)
self important shit, yes, you can play guitar zzzzz
06: Jedward - Planet Jedward (2010)
At least they know they are shit. Does just sound like they've sung over karaoke tracks though.
05: Pink Floyd - The Wall (1979)
I hope the Wall lands on the cunt when he does his arena tour.
04: Allo Darlin' - Allo Darlin' (2010)
I LOL at anyone who rated this. I've never heard anything more try hard in my entire life. OH AREN'T WE NICE, WE LIKE WOODY ALLEN & BERGMAN, AREN'T WE INDIE, WE SPENT OUR MONEY ON THE CAB HOME. You are horrible try hard wankers. Fuck off
03: Wavves - Wavves (2008)
OMG, THEY ARE LIKE SO LO-FI, LISTEN TO HOW LO-FI THEY ARE? YOU CAN'T EVEN HEAR THE MELODY.. because there isn't one you pathetic cunts
02: Animal Collective - Sung Tongs (2004)
'they are like, so interesting & original' lol Pretentious garbage.
01: The Residents - Eskimo (1979) - A load of weird animal noises, cave sounds & farting noises. If you like this record then you are not human.
Just my thoughts guys, I'm not trying to wind anybody up. More interested in what you consider the worst records you've ever heard are?
I posted my end of year list on the Radiohead board and everybody LOL'd at me for having End Times as my number one, apparently it's one of the worst records released in 2010
This year I've really gotten into the Doors who I once upon a time gave stick to people for liking so I eat my words on that one. I also gave U2's Achtung Baby baby a go because I figured if there is anything by them I am ever likely to like it would be that. I found it decent, nothing more, nothing less. I always think I hate One when it comes on, intro feels so bland then as it goes on it's an undeniably good song. Then the Fly & Even Better Than The Real Thing are top tunes. The rest was take it or leave it. I probably won't ever listen to anything by them again but credit where credit is due
I am fully prepared for the onslaught for every word muttered in this thread but it's 2011 guys, we've had years of the modern man adapting to be comfortable with his sexuality, now the modern man must be adapt to be comfortable with his music taste.
I also listened to Aha Shake Heartbreak last night, what a great fucking record. It's such a shame that Kings Of Leon died in that plane crash shortly after Because Of The Times isn't it? Who knows what they might of achieved.
