I dunno me (which half is better) the 1-2 of She's Thunderstorms and Black Treacle is top. But then you've got Reckless Serenade through to That's Where You're Wrong which for me is the strongest run of tracks on any Arctics album. Still loving the whole thing, though. There's not a track on it I don't like.

Monkeys again tonight, preferred last week, but they were still great tonight. Outdoor gig. Very warm. Setlist was not markedly different, but I definitely have a new appreciation for Brick By Brick. Very good tune in a live setting, but its the one Im least enthusiastic about on the record. Gig was early too, was over by 1030. The Vaccines opened and I barely paid attention to them. Frankly, they were not very good. It didnt help that the lead singer looked like a fruitcake and had on Meinby jeans. Whenever I see white jeans, I think of goddamn Meinby. I like a few songs on the record, but they seemed flat tonight. i feel the same thing. what the hell ever became of him?

Good album. Hellcat, All My Own Stunts, Reckless Serenade and That's Where You're Wrong are all top, up there with their best material.

I think its a great album and its definitely one of the contenders for album of the year, but I still feel Favourite Worst Nightmare is their best overall.

i hear what you're saying CRM but there's still some good moments in there. I know what you mean about Matt being limited with his drumming in this one, he's a top drummer (the most I've been excited about a drummer since Tony McCarroll), love his style and it's a shame he hasn't been utilised fully on this one. Certainly enjoyed this record as a whole more than the last one but not sure if it's a feeling that will last.

Stop with all the drummer bollocks, being a good drummer not only consists on having a drum solo on each & every song, maybe he could fuck off to a trash metal band.
It's a record to immerse yourself into it and enjoy, didn't think they would release a record like this one and I'm well pleased.
