went to see them last night. Walks out in a white boiler suit, massive bandana, shades and a massive beard Been years since I seen him and fotgotten how incredible live show it is. Loved it, band was amazing too

I have decided that blinking lights is an absolute masterpiece.

Gave electro-shock blues another go, I like it but it really doesn't connect with me like Blinking Lights, Shootenanny or the two most recent records. Will keep trying though!

cant believe they are playing vfest this year, seem a bit out of place there these days.

saying that, after an awful past few years v looks like the kind of festival where you could just about scrape together a decent lineup each day again this year. charlatans, eels, air, frightened rabbit, doves, mark lanegan, the coral, weller, prodigy, tricky, GLC.

I'm the same, I've only heard thefirst three and I love Dasies... but since everyone says Electro Shock is the best I feel like I've got to crack it before I can move on through the rest of the albums, and like you say, it's obviously good but I don't really feel it either. Think I'll have to sack it for the time being and move on to Souljacker

P.S You Rock My World

Its definitely the most difficult to get into, but its one of those albums that does take time but I think once it clicks and you get it, you'll love it, thats what happened with me anyway, also it might help reading the lyrics and learning about the album, i'm sure most people know the story of the album but actually sitting and reading the words to all the songs really took it to that next level for me.

P.S You Rock My World as Brad pointed out, this is the genius of E, he writes an entire album about the death of his sister by suicide and watching his mother die of cancer and dealing with becoming the last living member of his family and the mental troubles he has himself, and the last line of the album is:



That last line just kills me everytime

The whole song just brings that album (best ever made innit imo) to an almighty conclusion - reduced to tears leeek.

I seriously can't believe that Tomorrow Morning has not leaked yet! Its out in 5 days FFS. May as well just hold out for it now.

Yep, it's really good as well. The bonus ep is great as well, early days but I swear half the bonus EP is better than most the tracks on the record.

What's peoples thoughts on this then??

i havent been able to listen to it!!! going crazy!! waffles only has FLAC and i cant find it in other places

i've not heard enough eels. i recently listened to what i have and it's wonderful. i'm now on a mission to get more.
