Anyone see that documentary about his dad ? that was quality, them trying to explain the uncertainty principle and such things anyway whichever eels album sold the most, thats the best one

Electro Shock Blues is definitely the best, but I don't think you could really start there. Beautiful Freak would ease you into it a bit, but imo its not a patch on the others.
Get Daisies + Souljacker I say. A nice double whammy. Acoustic electric. Day and night.

Yeah His Dad was a genious, his story is very sad He walked in on his dad dead after heart attack when he was 17, His mum then died of cancer, his sister commited suicide and his last remaining family member (a cousin) was on the plane that hit the pentagon on 9/11. I find it amazing how he makes such beautiful uplifting music.

Aye he's had a mental life by the sounds of it. Was very distant from his dad too - I was getting pretty emotional when that documentary showed him listening to his dad's dictaphone tapes. Moving stuff.

Still not seen that documentary, was on bbc3 or 4 a few weeks back, I realised it was being shown when there was about 3 minutes left plus it wasn't on the iplayer.
